"We rented two rooms. We could see into one through holes in the walls (separations between boards that make up the walls) from the hallway. The bathroom was full of spiderwebs. The shower had so much mineral deposits built up in the shower head that we had to remove it from the hose to get enough water to wash. The staff was extremely nice and friendly, but rarely present. The floorboards were so weak and noisy. There was one board in one of our rooms that we carefully avoided stepping on out of...
"The staff did not speak English and showed no interest in their guests and mostly lay around (literally) on their phones.Room 3 on the ground floor had a small window which was kept shuttered so there was no daylight which was oppressive. On the positive side the air conditioning was effective."
"I wasn’t able to stay at the location booked as it was not available upon my arrival although I was able to book via Expedia. The property support was able to reassign me to rooms at their other location, Kiridara Luang Prabang, but I have not been able to get confirmation of the pricing for the reassigned rooms and appropriate refund as I believe the new room charges are less than what I paid for the villa room. "
"Ceci n'est pas un hôtel mais plutôt un genre de guesthouse. Il est placé plutôt au calme au bord de la rivière et au pied du mont Phousi.
Il faut 10 bonnes minutes de marche pour atteindre le marché de nuit.
J'ai aimé le grand lit et le balcon avec la vue sur la rivière."
"Never get to stay. Book hotel for Luang Prabang. Was charged and paid for. However, later learned the hotel did not exist and still in construction . The website was misleading. Expedia/Hotels.con should have vetted Coconut Hotel Luang Prabang. Causing lots of inconvenience. Ended up staying at My Ban Lao in Luang Prabang instead. A bluer nice and upper class hotel. We loved the hotel. Found there is a Coconut Hotel in Vientiane. Staff was nice and is helping out getting refund. ...
"Please dont book this hotel. The hotel doesn't exist. I booked it and paid, showed up, and upon non-existence, made a complaint to hotels.com, who did not want to do anything about it... horrible customer service. Please please steer clear"

Mybanlao Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Cannot fault this hotel, everything was perfect. Free shuttles to the night market and back via whatsapp .. modern but authentic bedrooms, quality bedding and modern bathroom, reasonable prices at the bar! in a quiet area of LP yet with so much to walk to locally and scooters and cars to hire from the hotel, getting around could t be easier. We saw many of the other hotels we considered and not a patch on Mybanlao."
"Fantastic historical hotel with lovely surroundings right on the Mekong. Excellent room with views to the river. Manager and staff were all wonderful and friendly. We look forward to returning here soon."
"Wonderful boutique hotel nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Secret garden vibes and a great getaway while in Luang Prabang. It’s colonial style so don’t expect all the modern amenities although I do wish there were gym facilities. I do highly recommend!"
"Beautifully decorated and appointed heritage style boutique hotel with many nice touches such as free drinks in the room. Good breakfast choices in riverside restaurant. Very helpful staff willing to arrange personalized excursions."
"Un petit coin de paradis. Personnel tres attentif et bienveillants. Nous avons adoré et si nous revenons à Luag Prabang ce sera à My dream ... because it’s really an amazing place"
"The serene ambience of the gardens and outdoor area was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and the Manager Raffael was very attentive to any issue. Overall a very pleasant 3 night stay and I would highly recommend staying here."
