"It was an absolute honor to stay in this 450 year-old property and experienced the space where the queens once lived for their safety! The property is very well-maintained and is extremely clean and spacious… The food (vegetarian only) was extremely delicious and authentic. The fort is an easy five minute walk from there to hike though the back door entry. Gorgeous views of the Ford from the rooftop restaurant as well.

"I was actually suspicious when I read some of the glowing reviews saying it was a highlight of their Indian trip…but this place really was a wonderful spot and a highlight for us too—we wished we had more time to spend here.
The staff are lovely, the property is spotless and like a comfortable museum, and the food was outstanding. I would come back any time!

"Train was delayed six hours. Arrived at midnight. Friendly welcome. Couldn't be more helpful. Clean and comfortable room. Food available though it's a bit of a mystery where and when. Just ask. Rooftop terrace has a nice view of the Fort and the railway station. Train noise will be an issue for some. It's a 24 hour operation."

"This property is right in the market area and yet quiet and calm. A variety of birds fly around the roof during breakfast with fort as a backdrop and violet temple in the foreground— kinda dreamy. We were in the temple room with old paintings on one wall. I think the dust rolling in from the street is a constant. Very convenient for shopping and getting tuktuk."

6. Towels were little yellowed
7. They give you lock and key which does not make it heritage.
8. All rooms window faces hallways so if you keep drapes open then all those passes bu to get to their room will look in your room....

Steep stairs so wouldn’t be great if you have vertigo!"
