Hotel Birks Montreal

Hotel Birks Montreal

10/10 Excellent
"Stayed at the Birks Hotel prior to a cruise trip. Was a lovely property with a beautiful spacious room. Wonderful Bathroom! Only wish there had been brighter bathroom lighting for getting ready. That seems to be the norm in hotels now. Dined in the Henri Restaurant 3 times. Excellent food and staff. Great location for my needs."

"Personnel très sympathique, toujours prêt à répondre nos questions, zéro compliqué, endroit très propre. Les femmes de chambres sont extraordinaires. J'ai tout aimé de cet endroit. Mon seul point est l'accès. L'extérieur ne dispose pas de rampe d'accès et, étant a mobilité réduite, les escaliers, avec mes bagages, sont plus compliquées un peu. Mais c'est mon seul point négatif. Je recommande cet endroit à 100%."

"The room was clean but once the housekeeper went and we were in the room so we notify if she could come back later and she said no, that she would return the next day but we were leaving early the next day so our beds were not made properly before going to bed, that day. The hotel appearance is nice but it needs maintenance and updated on the common areas and some parts of the room."

"Close to Bell Centre, 5 minutes to walk there, front desk staff were very courteous and helpful with directions. In-house restaurant closed Sunday and Monday, not ideal when you arrive on those days. Chez Cora in house perfect for breakfast and lunch. Incessant banging outside from 5:00am on due to some kind of construction. Over all a clean hotel with courteous staff."

Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel

Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel

"Beds very comfortable. Lobby is bright and inviting. Concierge and bellmen very, very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Room was clean and comfortable, but hallways, lobby, most areas of the hotel outside of room were cold! We wore our jackets even while dining in the lobby restaurant. Location is convenient to train station, small city park, cathedral, and ambitious walk to Old Montreal. Uber and Lyft readily available, and most meet at hotel curbside. Down side: The staff at the lobby bar/restaurant were routinely "curt" at best. When we sat in the bar area before being seated we were versed in the rules for seating even though the entire restaurant and bar were empty. We witnessed another couple experience the same, unwelcoming response to a request to take a glass of wine to their room. They were turned away and told to call room service. While we understand the need for protocols, this is just a friendly reminder that guests are navigating systems unfamiliar to us, and a friendly (and flexible, whenever possible) response is so much more appreciated!"
