"Nice place"

"Room and bed were excellent. The parking situation is strange- stay on property for $25 a night if you can get a spot or park in the garage around the corner for $5 a night???? Maybe that because 3 of the 4 elevators at the Chestnut street parking garage didn’t work. Not good for bad knees to have to walk up and down 4 flights of stairs. Breakfast is not good- toaster didn’t work, Waffle mix was not good. Coffee pots were empty. After dinner we stop in at the hotel bar and ordered a Jameson...

"Quiet character...Since 1860 character. We stayed Sunday through Thursday amd no continental breakfast was available these days. "

"Desk staff was very polite and quick response time. Room itself had clean sheets and towels, an room itself was clean even if not in the best of shape. The water was the worst I have seen. It smelled of SULFUR and was only a light pressure - took forever to wet short hair. When exiting shower your entire body smelled of sulfur! "

"First room we got smelled of cigarette smoke. Also the counter in the kitchen was delaminating. The next room had nicotine stains all over the ceiling above the bathtub. Also the bathtub drain was completely plugged, and the staff had no Drano to clear the clog. And the tub faucet was almost falling off, and didn’t turn off completely (drip, drip, drip into the standing water left in the tub). The TV had only cable — no streaming options (e.g., Netflix, HBO Max, etc.), so you couldn’t even log...

"This disgusting dirty hotel (can't really call it that!) is a disgrace! Looks like the rugs haven't been cleaned in years! No plastic cups in the bathroom to use and when asking the clerk at the desk he couldn't find any anywhere! The idea of a light breakfast is a joke! The soda machine takes your money but didn't dispense any soda! Called a studio with a kitchen, but no plates, silverware, pots or pans or anything to use or cook with! I would never recommend this place to anyone!"

"2 towels for 4 night stay No cleaning No toiletries Way too soft beds No chair Bathrooms need complete overhaul. Old cracked toilet with oversized seat. Crud, dirt in corners of old tile floors (replace). Needs a Bathfitters insert tub. It did have a big brand new TV $375 for 4 nights Under renovation old motel, MacIntosh Inn, to franchise chain Red Roof Inn. About 80% complete."

"Rented the room at this Hotel for a 3-day hockey tournament, which was a 15-minute drive away. It was perfect! Not classy, or exotic. It offered a bed, refrigerator and microwave and two double beds. Floor was clean, We used our own blankets for beds. Air conditioner worked as well as the heat. There was hot water for showers. Very little outdoor noise and less than I would have spent driving back and forth home-- some 20 miles- for each of the five games over 3 days. And although no one came to...

"We made this reservation based on the proximity to Longwood Gardens. We did reserve the Dolly Madison room, which is a standard room. However, the photos, don't really describe the tininess of the room. There really isn't anywhere to walk around the bed without clinging to the wall. There is only one small window, leaving the room rather dark. The bath altogether can't be more that 18 sq ft. The sink is in the room proper, creating another pinch point. The linens were nothing special, reminding...

"We were able to check in earlier than expected, and the staff was very respectful, friendly, and responsive throughout our stay. The room was spotless upon arrival, and we had no issues during our visit. Even though we woke up too late for breakfast, we were still able to get coffee and chocolate milk before checking out, which we appreciated. The checkout process was quick and convenient, and parking was easy as well. Overall, we had a great experience and would gladly stay here again."

"Clean room"

"The room had an infestation of ants in the bathroom requested to move rooms next room was musty smelly the doors were all damaged looked like people were trying to break in to the rooms by the way the doors has been damaged. Overall a horrible stay"

"We were not sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. It feels more like a self service Airbnb as you get your own code emailed to you in advance to get into the building and your room. The place is quaint and well maintained. It provided what we needed - nothing fancy, convenient location. My one and only complaint was the coffee. It’s a basic household 12 cup brewer so both mornings we came down to an empty coffee pot and didn’t have time to wait for them to brew another pot....
