"I didn’t have any expectations for my stay here, positive or negative. I stayed just one night, as planned. Check in was efficient and they asked if I wanted to stay near anyone else since my family was also staying there. I stayed in room 709, top floor. The room was large and clean, no frills but well appointed. Lots of electrical outlets and good closet and bathroom storage for belongings not to be on the floor. The bed was comfortable though the pillows weren’t good for me (very flat). The problems I had in sleeping there was the very frequent loud noise from the elevator. It sounded like jackhammers in the distance and it was pretty constant. The AC was also loud and intermittent so it was hard to block out. The staff were friendly and nice but I hope the elevators and AC can be quieted!"

"For your own sake, do not even bother attempting to stay in hermitage. I pulled in late night for a quick sleep and head out early morning. On arrival bldg lobby was dimly lit. No cars in parking lot, a few homeless people outside. Clear to me that this hotel was a shelter of sorts. I left after no answer and suspicious looks from some of the residents. 3 cars in parking lot of a bldg allegedly close to sold out. Please hotels.com , do even a little bit of homework before offering this to your clients. We deserve at least that. I booked another hotel at twice the price and will happily eat the cost of hermitage. I love to save a dime, but if my adult daughters were there I’d ask for a “I’m ok” communique in am"

"We were very disappointed with our stay. The Emergency side door was propped open with a rock at night. When we checked in they gave us a room key to an occupied room and fortunately we only saw an open suitcase and not walk in and disturb someone. These 2 situations made us feel unsafe. The desk clerk gave us a new room and in the middle of the night, at 3 am, the smoke detector battery alarm started going off. Needless to say we didn't get a good nights sleep or enjoy our stay. "

"A truly wonderful stay. The property is well-maintained and clean, with modern rooms and exceptionally comfortable beds (the variety of pillows was a great touch!). The 7th-floor lounge was a highlight, made even better by the attentive staff who truly made us feel welcome. I loved the location—tucked away in a quiet, wooded area but still offering easy access to downtown. We’ll definitely be back!"
