Breakfast was very good and the staff was welcoming. Not much around the hotel for other dinning or entertainment options. You’d have to drive."

"Everything was great for the most part. My boyfriend and I stayed there for a night and tried the pool. It was fantastic, although the hot tub wasn’t available. The staff was great when we checked in, but the ones who were there when we left were a bit rude. I don’t really mind that, though. The breakfast was okay. "The place is old, but was refurbished in years past. The closet door mirror was broken. Black ants in the bathroom. On the positive side, it was one minute away from FDR's house and library, and a little bit away from a new shopping center with a supermarket. The guy who checked us in was friendly. Breakfast was waffles and oatmeal; some fruit was out to grab. Hyde Park is not what we expected. The town looks tired. It needs updating in many areas, but at least there is new commerce coming in...

"The room was freezing cold for about a half hour when we got there but the heater worked well and eventually it warmed up. Room was large and clean. Parking was right in front of room. Wish the room had a full length mirror. People travel when they have an event to go to and we like to see how we look. The bathroom mirror sort of tilts down for a bit of an outfit check but a full length would have been great. Bed was comfortable and bedding was really nice! Guy who runs the place was very nice!...

"Nice big room, comfortable bed. Everything very clean and well appointed. 24/7 Continental breakfast was so convenient with a wide variety of choices to meet everyone’s needs, including gluten-free, dairy, free, etc. The outdoor deck is getting a little worn, but perfectly comfortable with nice seating. Really enjoyed how the room opened onto the front deck if you wanted to pop outside real quick or sit out at the table. It was a lovely spot very close to town. Really a great place to stay."
