Hotel murah di Maquoketa

"Room was clean and pleasant. Desk person unusual, hovered when I was in lobby area waiting to be picked up by friend. English was passable. I checked out early by 2 days and have yet to receive a credit for those days as was charged full 7 days when arrived. Desk person seemed confused when I checked out early as if unsure what to do. Overall , not bad considering choices in area are very slim."

On the “needs improvement” side, the hot tub was broken and when we asked a housekeeper about it, she responded “long time”. "The pool was closed, with no notification on Expedia or when I called to book, even though I told them I had 2 kids. The soap was skimpy at best. There was no way 4 of us were able to uses the small amount of shampoo. It was the size of a chapstick and the bar soap was lucky if it was 1 1/2" x 1" x 3/8" and barely lathered. "Excellent location. It was an easy 10-15 minute walk to the Galena historic district, but be prepared for hills. The hotel does have a shuttle, however we did not need to use it. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which was a buffet service set up in the restaurant. We definitely enjoyed our dinner at Frank O'Dowd's, and we understand there is live music on the weekends. There is a cute private walking path behind the hotel, called the Fairy Ring. It's a loop trail that's less than 1 mile....

"The online info indicated the 2 king rooms for myself and my elderly traveling companion were handicapped accessible. I asked the guy on the phone if there were high toilets, grab bars and a shower that you didn't have to step over the edge of a tub into and he said that was the case. I was very clear and specific. When we got to the motel none of that was true. We had low toilets, a tub shower combo, no grab bars and a slippery tub surface. Very disappointing!"

"The TV didn't work. There was a long sheet about how to get it working but who has that time? How about using the remote as usual? Every hotel should have blackout drapes but they did not. People moved into next room with a non-stop yipping dog. The stay overall was great but for price these issues need attention."
