"We like old hotels and the Julian is elegant. . The staff was very helpful. We missed not having coffee offered in the lobby. We missed not having 2 chairs in the room but they brought another when we requested it. Temperature in the room was difficult to control. Overall stay was pleasant."

"I was there with my Mom for a weekday conference, and the price was a good value for what the property offered. The only thing that was frustrating was the walls seem to not be as soundproof as they could be. The first night there was a guest above us that sounded like an elephant walking back-and-forth about 50 times between the hours of 10 P.M. and midnight, and the family in the room next to us sounded like they were in the hallway right outside the door. Other than that, the stay was nice and an easy drive to Dubuque."
