It’s a luxury 137 bedroom apartments 4 star hotel, no mini grid age, bathroom robes or slippers but that all depends what room you re staying in, I think for the price it should be in every room but overall amazing hotel x

Great property, great staff. Diamond, at the front desk, was a gem (pun intended). We'll definitely stay there again when in Manchester.

Booked a king room with canal view, was excellent probably one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, and there have been many. Hotel marketing department had offered upgrades to suites, would have cost around 200AUD . You don’t need to do it the room you book will be excellent. Close to some really nice canals and canal boats, however canal closest to hotel a bit dingy with dirty old canal boats. But, walk a little further and there are great views of the industrial heart of Manchester being repurposed, along the close to 250 year old canals. Plenty of locks and bridges to see. Had dinner in restaurant, was excellent, my wife particularly loved the pea soup. Dinner was pricy but was expected in a hotel of this quality.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel. I loved the atmosphere, and the room was great and well-appointed. It was quiet, with a cozy lobby. The restaurant was excellent - great cocktails and food - day service was slow, but evening service was on point. The staff at the front desk during check-in was okay but a bit cold, and matter of fact - I did arrive about an hour before check-in was allowed, and I appreciated that the room wasn't ready. They could have offered to take my cell and or try and let me know if there was any possibility of earlier access, but they weren't really bothered by it - sorry, no check-in until 3 kind of attitude. Overall, I did love this hotel and will stay again.

Absolutely loved staying at this hotel and we will be returning. Check in was quick and shortly after went up to a lovely classic room with a nice view. The hotel was very clean and near the train station. Would highly recommend staying here 5**

It was lovely like we never wanted to leave because of the comfort. Even tho the place was fancy at its high standards which we thought the staff would look very serious.. but Staff was very friendly and amazing! Wasn’t sure if we could bring food from outside to our room but the receptionist said of course and to enjoy our late night meal. Honestly one of the best! What i’d recommend for these types of rooms was for them to have a fridge to cool our drinks or even snacks as many others would like late night nibbles whiles watching TV. Overall still was lovely and would come again for sure

Amazing stay, as always! I don’t usually like staying in hotels because I associate it with being away from home but this hotel always has such a nice feel. Food, drinks, staff, atmosphere, rooms… everything is just perfect. Stay here!

We loved our stay at Dakota Manchester. From the moment we checked in the staff were friendly, accommodating, polite, and professional. We upgraded to a garden king room and we were so pleased with the decor, often hotels can look dated or a little tired but this was absolutely not the case here. A coffee machine with fresh milk, white company toiletries, enough hangers (I hate when you only get 5 hangers for 2 people!) and more. The bed was comfortable and the extra pillows arrived quickly as requested. Quiet room so we didn’t hear anything from other guests or outside which is rare for such a central hotel. 15 min taxi to Victoria station and 10 min walk to Picadilly station so very very good location. We couldn’t fault it! We will definitely be returning!

This is my 2nd stay at the Dakota in the past 3 months. On this occasion my Deluxe Suite didn’t have hot water and according to the Maintenance person who came to my room it was due to the cold weather and “peak shower” time in the morning around 9am on a Sunday (it was suggested I could take a hot shower later). I spoke to the duty manager and received no apology and was only told she would take it up with Maintenance. When I checked out I received no apology upon checkout on Monday morning. I used the access to the Pure Gym which is about a5 min walk from the hotel. This is a no frills gym without a front desk. Access is through enclosed rotating doors with a code. As a Dakota hotel guest you need to be let in and out by a Pure Gym staff member. On both this occasion and my previous visit I was unable to exit as there was no staff to let me out. On my first visit I managed to find an I structure after about 15min and on this most recent occasion there was no staff present as it was 5pm on a Saturday. In the end I had to find a member of the gym who was willing to let me go through the enclosed turnstile door with them. Again no apology from the manager on duty about this issue.

Checked in for 2 nights, realised the body lotion was the leftover from previous guest, asked reception the next late afternoon, got told would be sent up but 3 hrs later still not, had to come down to ask again (the housekeeper line doesn’t work) and the room doesn’t get vacuumed during the daily housekeeping. Everything else is more than perfect.
