We went on a short holiday to Barut Hemera and wished we had stayed longer! Our room was beautiful and attached to a shared pool which was lovely! Even though the resort isn’t adult only we appreciated that there were 16 areas and found it very peaceful and quiet. We are newlyweds (28 and 30) and this was an ideal holiday! The beach is beautiful and there were always loungers available. The food was good and we enjoyed the opportunity to have one a la carte dinner on our last night :) We also enjoyed the spa and had a massage and peel which was so relaxing and we would definitely recommend! There are also saunas and a steam room that you can use free of charge during the day. The resort is lovely and has everything you need on site which makes for an stress-free experience. We will definitely go back when we need another relaxing vacation! Thank you!

Everything I was after I got from my stay here… a modern clean tidy room, an abundance of quality food around the clock and great service & care from the staff. The weather was warm as expected for the time of year so no sunbathing but there was no issues being outside. I got the peace I needed, if I had to find something that would have made it perfect for me it would be a TV that could connect to external devices via WiFi.

Very clean hotel, courteous service, high quality restaurants and food. Everything is included at the highest level with alcoholic drinks, beers and cocktails. Multiple green spaces, good pools and an amazing private beach. Most importantly - a very helpful staff that is attentive to the needs of the guests and makes sure that they have a very pleasant stay on vacation.

Hotel and our room was lovely unfortunately we did not have hot water for half the holiday though but maintenance soon fixed. The cocktails were nice and strong and not watered down. Only thing we found was there was not much in way for kids to eat so they struggled to find something and just lived off chips each night which was not great. Also when we went in April there was limited entertainment - just a band playing so kids were bored.

The staff was very accommodating from the minute we arrived at the hotel. Great food and cocktails. We really enjoyed the variety on restaurants and activities available at the hotel. We booked the holiday literally two days before leaving as originally were going to Marrakesh. We were very pleased with the reception staff and the guest relations manger Sid came and explained to us the facilities at the all inclusive resort. Throughout our stay the staff were very helpful and went an extra mile to make our stay memorable. The food quality and quantity were outstanding with loads of options and variety of different cuisines every day from breakfast to dinner. The patisserie had different varieties of teas and coffees. They had fresh cakes and pastries every day. My children loved the burgers at the burger bars. The beach bar had variety of mocktails and food. Every night there was a concert at the stage next to the beach for the guests staying at the resort. The rooms were really high standard with minibar and the change or toiletries and linen , towels every day. The rooms had beach tote bag with beach towels. I would like to thank the management at the resort for their hospitality and attention to detail. We were particularly impressed with the Covid hygiene measures. We have decided to rebook next year- Airport transfer could have been included in the package fee. Overall amazing experience- thank you 😊

They understand customer service
We have been to Barut Hemera in Side three times and hopefully we will be able to return. The hotel is wonderfully laid out, the food is great (especially at the Al la carte restaurants) and they really understand customer service. Sid is great and makes you feel special. Great all inclusive hotel and I highly recommend.

4,5 stars hotel
It was our second visit of Istanbul and second stay in Barcelo hotel. Location is good, it’s near Taksim and Istiklal. Breakfasts were a bit scarce without plenty of options. Waiters weren’t very helpful while there weren’t many guests in the restaurant. I assume that such moments couldn't be in true 5 star hotel.

We had a great time at Barut Hemera - all the staff were lovely and friendly - the room was cleaned every day and nothing was too much trouble - if you needed anything, all you had to do was ask! We would like to say a massive thank you to Sid - (customer relations) who was ever so helpful and an all round lovely guy! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
Some staff are rude. The staff treats clients with a false heart. Espaciall, entertainment staff. They said "friend" to client and it means "fridendly" but they are rude and try to cheat and hide something. Many Turkey people deceive tourists with lies and demand unfair money. It seems to me that it is due to a problem caused by cultural differences. Smell of drain is in the room and room is no soundproof at all with steel wall. Night music and guest voices echo through the room. Emploees who enter and leave the room are unfriendly and do not wait several times. Managers make the glass uncomfortable with conversation attemps and questions and force an assement of accommodation each time. Bothering by false heart. I don't recommend this place. Very disappointed.

Lovely gardens/ great for few days
Lovely propery with lot of plants and greenery with multiple swimming pools on the beach. Food at the Safra turkish resturant was really good. But apart from this most of the other places food was quite average or poor. Beach right outside the hotel is rocky so you will need to move around a bit for a good swim.We had a room fitted with jacuzzi which wasnt working proper unfortunately on our short stay

Barut Hemera - a little piece of heaven
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Barut Hemera. The service was excellent from the start. We were asked if we wanted to upgrade a room for a small fee so that our balcony opened right onto our private pool area and we were glad we did. The a la carte seafood restaurant Sandal was also great and worth a try. The hotel was well laid out, cozy, clean and the views were amazing. We would definitely visit there again.

Laid back well run hotel with beautiful gardens, great swimming pools and comfortable rooms. Activities and shows available if wanted and equally matched by lots of quieter areas for relaxation. Great spa and massage. I really enjoyed Yoga and Step aerobics from the lovely animation team girls. Very positive experience and will definitely return to the Barut brand now I've seen the quality of service.

This hotel is amazing, spotlessly clean and lovely staff. We had a deluxe jacuzzi room, beds were comfortable nice balcony with privacy curtain. Food was amazing, plenty of choice and we ate at the italian, turkish and international restaurants. Italian and Turkish are highly recommended, International was just ok. There are some shops on site, general newsagent type shop, jewellery, clothes and an optical store selling frames and sunglasses. No ATM in the hotel but there is one within 5 minutes opposite the main gate. Guard told me it was by the chemist, however there are 3 as I found out so turn left to and walk to the big chemist on the end of the block. Make sure to do your transaction in Lira to avoid high fees. One thing I didnt like was the fact that everything was priced in Euro. If you wanted to pay in Lira, they simply converted Lira into the Euro equivalent which didnt seem fair as one of the things that attracted us to Turkey was the favourable exhange rates. Euro is lower than GBP so it was like a double whammy. I dont think I'll be in a hurry to go back to Turkey if I have to pay in Euro I would rather dgo somewhere closer to home but if I did I would have no hesitation in staying in this hotel.

Understated Luxury
This hotel was far better than we expected. Food in the a la carte restaurants was exceptional, and pretty decent in the buffet too. a la carte lunches in Olive were a treat, very well presented and nothing was too much trouble, exception chef there. The whole hotel has a chilled out luxurious vibe with upmarket decor, nice lighting and sofas with funky cushions around the place, just gives it a more grown up feel. The quiet pool near the swim up rooms was our favourite, with Olive bar on hand to cool us down with cocktails and ice cream! If you're after a chilled hotel, close to other bars and shops, with excellent facilities, that feels a world away from your bog standard 'Benidorm' style all inclusive, this is the place for you.

What an amazing hotel! We have just returned from 2 weeks here with our 9&7 year olds and we all loved it! The kids adored the kids club and the ladies who ran it. It was open fir 3 hours in the morning and 3 in the afternoon, and the kids could just come and go as they pleased! The gardens in the hotel are absolutely immaculate, they are always bring tended and the place looks fabulous! Plenty of sun loungers both poolside and at the beach. The Olive Garden A La Carte restaurant was absolutely fabulous, well worth a visit! The Patisserie is fabulous and the ice creams were always a hit with the kids! Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again!

Schöne, gepflegte Anlage direkt am flachen Sandstrand. Die Auswahl an Restaurants, Speisen und Getränken ist grossartig und es schmeckt sehr gut. Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt und kommen gerne wieder!

Speisen und Serviceangebote waren sehr gut. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis war hervorragend. Auch im März konnte man schon gut am Strand auf den Liegen liegen, man hatte nicht den Eindruck, man sei in der Vorsaison dort. Alles hatte schon auf.
