"Very disappointing – Not worth the money 0/5 We booked a one-night houseboat stay in the Kerala backwaters and unfortunately felt completely mis-sold. On arrival, there was no communication. We were asked to pay extra for meals despite them being included in our booking. We were also put on a small boat and only told five minutes into the journey that an additional fee would be charged with no prior communication. The houseboat was nothing like the advertisement. It was old and run-down with...

Taj Kumarakom Resort & Spa, Kerala

10/10 Excellent

"We had an amazing stay at the Taj, from the hospitality and warmth of all the staff members to the individual attention to each group of guests, we experienced a very beautiful time there. I have stayed at the Oberoi and at Leela Palace, but the warmth and genuine care from the staff at the Taj, Komarakom was unparallelled. We were there to celebrate my mothers 75th bday, my sister, my mom and me, and the team at the Taj made it very memorable for us. We could also see similar hospitality towards all guests, and this contributed to a very relaxed and happy energy to the place, where most guests slowed down, reached out and connected with each other, found some common threads of connection, and exchanged life stories, making it even more memorable overall. Thank you team Taj, right from Mr Shain who communicated and arranged for a comfortable check in on the day of our arrival to Mr Khan and his team who checked in with us and made sure we were happy with the food and other services. A truly magical few days and memories for our lifetime. I hope to return with my husband soon."
