"Straight away we received a really warm welcome. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Our room was lovely with a great view of the river. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were blissful and the bedding was lovely. Being a 500 year old building there was a slight slope from one end of the room to the other which was really cute. Good shower and towels, soap and small shower gels provided. Tea, green tea bags and coffee too. Good selection for breakfast which was fresh and delicious and eaten while watching the boats on the estuary. A really lovely stay. Will definitely book again."

"The location of this hotel is fantastic if you have a morning flight out of Stansted because you can very easily just walk to the terminal from here. My room was small but clean and well appointed. It wasn’t ready at check in time though which was frustrating. I had to wait over an hour in the lobby until it was ready. I was given a complimentary latte for my trouble which was nice. The breakfast in particular at this place was something to rave about. They even had vegetarian sausages available which was amazing! I would definitely recommend this hotel if my travel plans had me flying out of Stansted."

Great location with added bonus of Toby Carvery close by and M and S garage shop so you can’t ask for more 😁 The accommodation was clean and tidy everywhere, the staff were all lovely, very helpful and friendly Breakfast was included in the booking so a great deal. Parking free and next to hotel"
