Ok for an overnight or short business trip. If you want a romantic weekend or celebrating an occasion then this isn’t the place as it’s predominantly a business centre with basic rooms. Try Bel and the Dragon just a stones throw in the town which would have been my first choice if they weren’t full. However CIM does offer value for money.

Good value for money so can’t really complain. Lovely site and loads of parking. Room layout was odd, stayed for two nights and housekeeping made the bed but didn’t stock up teas and coffees etc or give clean cups. It was fine

A quirky space in a lovely village with plenty of restaurants. Free breakfast was as much as you could eat tasty buffet, rooms a tad small but bed and shower were fine so we would definitely recommend.

It was like student accommodation, the room was ridiculously small, Staff knocking on the door constantly next morning from 9am to try and clean room and remind to have breakfast quickly, no one on reception, have to call number to get a receptionist. whole stay was poor from start to finish,

It was convenient and inexpensive for a one-off stay close to our team dinner event. Rooms are compact and no frills but the breakfast was quite good. Would be nice to have bottled water provided please.

Difficult to find where you need to go if you arrive when it's dark. Especially if it's raining. Room was very hot despite the windows being open. Other than that it was decent value for money.

Great overnight stop location
Used this as an overnight stop whilst doing the Thames Path National Trail. Worked really well as a one-night stay. Great breakfast. Room similar to a Premier Inn. Nice pub nearby (100m away). Would recommend to anyone looking for an overnight stop in the area.

Convenient but lacking.
The room was tiny and extremely hot. No air conditioning and a fan that sounded like Concorde taking off. Very noisy guests made sleep difficult. The cleanliness was questionable; the hand basin plug hole was filthy, large cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, dirty tide mark in the toilet and window handle broken. On the plus side the main hotel and grounds were lovely.

The rooms were so small and very hot. Our room was outside a large chess board and we were woken at 12.30am by loads of drunk people outside. I didn’t think much of the breakfast either

The surrounding area is very pleasant, with Cookham village next door and an easy walk down to the Thames. Cleanliness was not good. A notable layer of dust was on top of the bed headboard and the tv remote control was disgusting. It took some time to clean. Carpet edges were fraying. The room had the feel of student accommodation. The guests-only area had special electronic keys to open sliding doors, but they were easily manually slide-able!

A nice, cosy hotel ideal for an overnight stay. Rooms quite small but practical. Arrived late for a 00:30 check-in & whilst reception service was excellent, the noise from adjoining rooms was disturbing for about an hour - not bad enough to complain though.

Don’t bother.
A hotel who doesn’t sell food on a Friday night. On Thursday restaurant was closed before 20:00 bar meals should have been until 20:30 but wasn’t so not good after a long day. Tiny room very cramped. Would not recommend this place at all.

Great place to stay an odd night!
It was perfect for a quick overnight stay! Although they did tell me that although they take payment on arrival, I should have been able to use my Hotels.com vouchers!

Royal Welcome
Friendly reception upon arriving at the hotel, beautiful surroundings and the double room i booked was comfortable and clean. Also had free breakfast buffet in the morning was excellent and i really enjoyed my stay ! Would highly recommend if you are in the Cookham area and in need of accommodation !

It's a beautiful venue and the staff were great but, as an ambulant disabled person, it was not accessible (I'm sure I put mobility issues when I booked). There is only one drop off space by the reception door for disabled people then the car needs to be moved; what if the driver is disabled? We drove into the car park and couldn't find any Blue Badge spaces, then it was a maybe a 100m walk from the car to Reception. We booked in and were directed to our room, which was a good few minutes walk with our luggage. Our room was small but clean. The shower was lovely but had no rails for support. There were signs above the towel rail about being more environmentally friendly but the heating was on constantly, making the room very hot. So, nice venue, good staff, but not very accessible.

Disappointing visit
he grounds were pleasing but unfortunately the bedroom was awful. Extremely small room very uncomfortable bed, no toiletries in bathroom including soap for handwashing. Only one small thin pillow each. However, the breakfast was very good. We would not stay here again.
