First impression from outside is not great, but as soon as you walk in from the door at the second floor, every changes, inside all looks very new and spotless clean. The room size is perfect for one on one night trip. Extremely clean, and for my surprise also very quiet! Great shower pressure. I also liked the free toothbrush ( I have forgotten mine !). I genuinely do recommend the place on a short staying trip!

Good, clean rooms in an older building. Helpful and polite staff and a great location for seeing sights in Madrid. No safe and facilities are a little basic but great value for money.

Se oía todo, las paredes eran auténtico papel. Dan la opción unos días antes de hacer el check in online, lo hago, y llego y me dicen que no está hecho, es decir, pierdo mi tiempo. Después de insistir varias veces, resulta que sí estaba hecho. Es decir, lo hago en casa para ahorrar tiempo en la llegada, y perdí el mismo tiempo. En la habitación, el aparato para poner el aire caliente hacía un ruido insoportable, y teniendo en cuenta las paredes, tenían que oirlo en todo el edificio. En definitiva, a veces lo barato sale caro.

Never prepay!
Clean. Had room cleaned and cleaner did not refill toilet paper. I had to go to front desk. The cleaner handed me the big roll….except holder had a lock on it, so I had to go ask for help. Had to check out five days early due to family issue. They would give zero $ credit to me. I think half would have been fair. I will never prepay for a stay again! Room with balcony had LOUD street noise from people on the street at 3:00. They were kind enough to move room. Central location near Metro. Room key needed to be rekeyed at desk every few days.

位置特别好，楼下有超市和地铁站，除了床上用品不太干净以外其他卫生条件好，隔音效果一般早上被隔壁的闹钟震醒了

It was affordable and located in the city center. The room itself was clean and well-equipped. However, the building was a bit old and the noise from the other rooms could be heard pretty clearly.

Great location close to main subway stop. The lady who runs front desk was friendly enough. However. If you enjoy super thin walls and hearing everything, waking up to a dog barking every single morning for over an hour. Being woken at night by what sounded like someone dropping a bowling ball over and over again above you then this is the place to stay! Super small room but was fine enough. Mini fridge was plugged in but was not cold at all.

Brilliant location right in the centre with a metro station a few steps away down the road. Also a very handy supermarket round the corner. Very clean and the towels changed daily. We had room No 11 which was very quiet but only looked out over a small enclosed yard area so was also quite dark. Unfortunately we found the bed most uncomfortable, it was like trying to sleep on a hard piece of foam. On arrival we did have to ask for a kettle and a couple of mugs as they were not in the room. Good efficient and quiet air con together with good wi-fi. The shower was a bit basic but adequate. It seemed only one person on reception spoke English.

Wonderful staff with a great location
The staff working the reception were amazing. My baggage didn't arrive with me and they called the airport for me to check on it and called me the instant it was delivered so that I didn't have to worry. Everyone was very knowledgeable about the city and offered great recommendations. Location was fantastic too. Right by the metro line and walkable to everything you would want to see in Madrid. I would definitely stay here again.

I couldn’t have been more impressed with this property. Judy and her team were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are immaculate and were stocked with many amenities that I wasn’t expecting from a “hostal” (eg hair dryer, razors, toothbrushes, shampoo/body wash). It is centrally located — less than a 5 min walk to the Plaza Mayor and less than 10 mins to the Puerta del Sol. There is a metro stop (Tirso De Molina) that is a 3 min walk from the front door. On the same block there is a 24-hr supermarket with reasonable prices.

Good location, cozy room
Good location, near subway and shops. Cozy clean room with private bathroom. The room was a close to exit door, so it was quite noisy. The staff was helpful and nice. Wifi in the room.

Good location and within walking distance to metro and attractions (5 mins to Sol for free walking tour and toledo tour pick up, 10 mins to plaza Mayor, 15 to Gran via, on the east side 15 mins yo atoche station). 24 hour supermarket at the corner is very handy, especially with a fridge in the room. Street is also quiet at night. Just look high up to see the hostal signage, when looking for it the first time. Reception is at level 2. Enter through 2 sets of doors then take the lift.

Everything you need for a comfortable stay
Check in process was easy and efficient. Room was clean and everything needed was there. The staff was very friendly and always very helpful. The breakfast was offered beginning at 9:00. We paid ahead for breakfast but had an 8:30 train so received no breakfast. Would be nice to offer an early start time for breakfast as many traveller are on the move before 9:00.

The location was good. very friendly and helpful staffs. The only thing i did not like was our room, it was mentioned in the site that the rooms are with balcony or patio. But our room just faced to patio. So we did not have any access to patio and the view was very ugly.

Check in was a breeze and staff were very nice and welcoming. Excellent location right next to El rastro flea market and close to nearby Plaza and San Miguel market. Just great value!

Great location, every detail is perfectly done
Great attention to detail, good value. The owners clearly care about doing a good job. Location was very close to Tirso de Molina, very authentic square with lots of local people, and also quite close to Plaza Mayor (central spot for tourists, good restaurants). Supermarket nearby at Tirso de Molina, and after-hours a small convenience store just up the street.

Great budget stay
Perfect for those on a budget, doesn't feel like a hostel (but isn't 5*...). Central location, noisy at night, basic but everything you need (incl. extras like hairdryer, TV, towels, shampoo, shower gel, free sweets) etc. Surprised by lack of kettle/tea/coffee in room, but it is actually only rated 1*. In reality it's just like most 3* places I have stayed, and hospitality makes up for relatively basic room. Would recommend.
