Meets basic needs for short stay during which you spend most of the day outside. The room has comfortable and clean bed. Clean shower. No breakfast is available. Can go the bar downstairs that opens at 0800. Can be loud late at night because of the bar.

Good location in a better part of town.,
The room was spacious. Light fitting falling off the wall. Location good - not far from metro stations. Staff nice. Some confusion over breakfast- I had booked a room for 2, but when I went to get the ticket it was only for 1. My niece who is 17 counted as a child (!) But they amended the ticket. Also breakfast felt a little stingy - coffee and a pastry or cola cao (not thick chocolate) with tiny churros. Walls very thin - you can here all movement- take ear plugs! But for the location and comfy bed in a budget hotel it was good value.

The hotel don’t have a sign to identify the place. They never answer the phone. We where around 45 minutes looking for the location. When finally found it, the person in front desk was super rough and when the phone was ringing and he never answer it. He was looking at a game in the TV. The room smell ugly, a couple of things was broken. The floor was dirty. Is the worst experience that I have in all my travels

The location is excellent, triple A. Absolutely no amenities, no coffee, no shampoo , no hairdryer. The room was comfortable yet very worn down. The desk clerk was extremely rude. And don’t you forget your keys, there is no one at the property after 10 pm. One night I mistakenly left my key in the room and I was completely locked out. Could not get in till 6 am

This property should not qualify as a hotel. They claimed after I had checked in and found the Air Conditioner not working that “As per rule we do not have air conditioning from midnight till 11 am.” In the middle of the heat wave it was absolutely unbearable to sleep. The staff is simple unhelpful.

Depende de quien te atienda es una cosa u otra!! El primer hombre que nos atendió fue muy maleducado, tanto, que me dieron ganas de anular la reserva e irme al hotel de enfrente. El segundo fue agradable, como tiene que ser una persona que trabaja de cara al público. La habitación no estaba mal calidad - precio pero no estaba tan bien como en las fotos !

I've stayed there before. It was being renovated so there was a construction crew there. Our room on the 5th or 4th floor was so hot. I was told that by law they could not turn on the air conditioning until a certain date. I was there May 16th. They changed me to a lower floor.

Not a tourist hotel.
No AC working even though it was advertised and I would not have booked it otherwise. No iron, hairdryer, hair in the food they left as a "gift". No English (written, spoken, TV etc) - I know I'm in Spain but most hotels world wide try to help out - they don't.

Beware, burglaries are being committed in this hotel. There is no security in the building; no cameras in hallways, no safe in the room. We reported the theft to hotel reception but they did nothing to help (reception actually told us that another theft had been reported a few days earlier). The valuables that were stolen were hidden in our luggage, not in plain site. The room was undisturbed except for the missing items and there was no sign of forced entry. Only the staff had easy access, would know if we were inside, and would face no consequences. I am writing this as a warning to help fellow travelers because hotel staff and local police will not be sympathetic. If you care for your valuables, reconsider staying at this hotel where multiple thefts are taking place. Otherwise, the location was good, not far from sites.

It looks like a regular apartment building but its an hotel. Its close to the shopping centers. The only thing is the cafe downstairs. It can get a little loud during the weekend.

Major upgrade needed
First notice upon entry doors look like it's been force entry several time, damage on door locks not very safe.elevator was very loud and out of align not to safe. Rooms are old and needs major upgrade. No iron, hair dryer, TV was also small and hanging to high on the was , it just doesn't have the comport we were looking for. Not worth the money.

Where to begin...
Learn the phrase "papel higienico". You'll constantly have to ask for it as they are incredibly reluctant to put any toilet paper in your room. The hotel itself is falling to pieces, the lifts are the least confidence inspiring contraptions ever but, worst of all, is the breakfast buffet that is referenced on expedia. It's an all out lie. Breakfast is in the adjoining cafe and you can have coffee and either a croissant or a churros. And that is it. I appreciate that this is not an expensive hotel but I would expect more. Even just a little. On a positive note the showers are amazing! The beds were changed every day and the rooms kept fairly clean, even if nothing else was really done. It's not a bad location either with Retiro park about 20 minutes walk away, good transport links and lots of bars and restaurants nearby.

Great little place, but is being redecorated and remodelled at present, so reception was a building site but my room was freshly painted and spotless. And very helpful staff. The property condition would of received full marks if not for its building works going on. Very close to the US embassy and a great little restaurant on the street level.

Good for the price
The hotel is a little out of the center of town, but it's a good deal for what you pay. Staff was helpful. There are a few things about the hotel like the elevators aren't good as in they jolt each time, and a few tripping hazards. Otherwise would stay again.

Location location location - to Embassy
If you need to go to the Embassy, you will only walk 50 yards! Greeted nicely. The hotel is what is was for $50. Simple and clean
