"A character property so don’t expect all modern conveniences. That said it was very comfortable. Only negative comments would be the lack of plug sockets in the bedroom and the small refrigerator that is shared between all three rooms. You get breakfast at the nearby Duff Green mansion."

"The room was clean and had been updated. I wish there had been coffee in the room. The whole hotel looks like it's been renovated and is very nice! The parking lot (at least the handicapped area) could have been cleaner. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the visit. The Casino was nice and it was nice to me! About paid for my room anyway! I will stay again!"

"This is difficult to write a review on because I want to give it 5 stars but I can't just due to some minor details. Hard because it's a historic hotel so you don't expect it to be perfectly upkept but it could be at least a little better. Vents were cakes in dust and grime for example that could be cleaned (for a long time overdue). Things like poorly fit ceiling tiles in bathroom, maintenance on outside where rotting boards were being replaced on the deck, things like that are understandable but still can't give a 5 star "yet". They are working on it looks like so hopefully it will continue to improve. Aside from that it was a good stay no major issues."
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Vicksburg

"My husband and I stayed at La Quinta in Vicksburg MS for an anniversary getaway. When we arrived we were told that the elevator was not working, our room was on the 3rd floor. We decided to go ahead and stay. The next morning my husband (75) was having trouble breathing and going up and down the stairs. I spoke to Antino at the front desk, he said they could possibly move us to the 1st and that the manager would be in around 7, I could talk to her about getting us moved. I spoke to her ( Mikala) and she said she could get us moved if a room became available and to check with the front desk between 12 and 2. I checked back around 12 and was able to change rooms . We stayed Sept 18 thru 21 and enjoyed sightseeing around Vicksburg . Very big THANK YOU TO ANTINO, MIKALA, KIANA AND OLIVA for all the help with changing rooms and dinner suggestions Sunday night"

"Our room was great! Staff at the desk were great also! The only problem was with the restaurant. There were 4 of us and one persons order was wrong and another didn't get a salad. Our drinks ran dry and we had to ask several other people to help us. I got a dessert and I love chocolate but this was an good at all."
