One of the biggest advantages is the location—it’s close enough to downtown and Main Street to easily walk to shops, restaurants, and attractions while still feeling a bit removed from the busiest areas. "Great location directly across from Shepler’s Ferry. They took care of our luggage from the dock in Mackinac City all the way to our room. Enjoyed Winchesters and Kilwins without leaving the building. The breakfast delivery was very good. Room was spacious and had everything we needed. Staff was very nice and helpful."

"It’s in downtown, easy stroll from the boat dock, bike rental place right around the corner. Breakfast wasn’t your ordinary “continental “ breakfast. There are 2 shared bathrooms on the 2nd floor and never even saw anyone using or waited for one. Not a problem at all which honestly was our biggest concern. Terrific staff, and location was perfect"

"Loved sitting on the porch & watching the boats come & go in the harbor. Quiet wonderful room. We ate breakfast in the attached restaurant, they say us at the center window with the best view! The service & staff were all awesome. Highly recommend."

"It looked like someone had stayed there and it was not cleaned before our arrival. There were all sorts of home improvement tools on porch. Totally fine with all of that being there, just thought I was sting in a daily weekly rental. Absolutely loved the shower!"

"Me and my friends had a short stay at budget inn (3 nights), but we got that hotel because was one with hot tub, and guess what? It wasn’t working! Not getting hot at all. Also, one of the breakfasts had a problem that the wall where the machines for drinks was connected wasn’t working, the lady that worked on the breakfast part was supper helpful putting a cord to make it work, I know it might not be a huge problem, but it was actually bad for us having that problem that day. "Beds kinda hard"

"Worst stay ever. The room had a strong unpleasant odor, and the heater was not working properly. Despite the cold weather, the room never got warm enough, making the stay very uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the shower curtain and curtain rod were already broken when we arrived, which showed a lack of maintenance and attention to basic room upkeep. Overall, the hotel did not meet even basic expectations for comfort and cleanliness. I would not stay here again."

"I stayed for 3 nights and the property was very clean and within walking distance to many sites and local shops near the lakes. The contiental breakfast was adequate for my needs and room was very clean and staff including housekeeping was performed well! I just wish that the weather would have been better during my visit during the latter part of May."

"The room was clean. Our sliding glass door lead to a small patio and beach area. Beautiful view. Large hot tub, nice pool. Staff was excellent! My son left his wallet in the room, after checkout. They called us, we was literally crossing the Ohio state line. They shipped the wallet to us. He had over $300 cash. It arrived in the mail with everything in it. Highly recommend this stay!"

"The view was remarkable! Breakfast was great. The only negative comment would be that the place needs a little tlc. Our balcony screen door had a broken screen. Our lamps were missing lightbulbs and the outlets don't hold a plug (in some)."
