"We arrived slightly earlier but Derek had left the house key in door for us to let ourselves in. He called later to check everything was OK and showed us how to open the hottub lid . It was all ready to jump in and very warm. Cottage was modern and everything needed was provided, towels, bathrobes for hottub, cutlery and plates etc. Excellent front garden for playing football with our son. Overall couldn't fault it and had a relaxing stay."
"Some beautiful furnishings throughout. Some areas a bit tired and in need of refurbishment. Staff were all excellent.
Breakfast was good but felt dinner prices a bit excessive for what was served.
We had a beautiful newly refurbished bathroom ( bedroom not ) so here’s hoping improvements are going on throughout the hotel.
We would recommend and we will return."
"When we arrived at the hotel it didn't look anything special from the outside. On entering into the small reception we received a very warm welcome and given some local information. We were directed to our room which was very spacious, clean and a nice outlook .
The bed was very comfortable although I found the room warm but my husband slept right through the night, which is unusual for him.
We opted to have dinner in the hotel and although a bit pricy we were very happy with what we ordered.

"This castle is fabulous! For Americans it is like stepping into a Downton Abby set. The staff greet you at the door, take your luggage and from that moment forward treat you like royalty. Not only is this a gated property, but you need your sir name in order for the gate to open! Then the drive up the narrow road just enhances your excitement to see the castle.
John was great at showing us around and to our room. He was very helpful in understanding where everything was and how to get around....
