"Memories of a real motel from my youth. Park right by your own door, room was spotless and cozy, and modern amenities like fridge, microwave and large TV. Mattress was nice, firm enough for a change with some body. Locale was suburb residential, and nice to be out of the hectic city. Would recommend. Thank you guys for a relaxful wind down to a stressful day."

"We booked a suite, which was very reasonably priced. It had a very comfortable king size bed and next to the bed to our surprise was a nice deep jacuzzi big enough for two!! Wow, it was so relaxing after a long day! There was a kitchenette, eating area with the table set beautifully for two people. A plush couch and tv topped off the room. A continental breakfast, comfort, cleanliness , exceptional customer service and a great location!! We will definitely stay at the Granite hotel again. We found a nice walking trail right across the street from the hotel which is lovely. We ate in Blackโs Harbour at The Kitchen which was superb!! Down home good and excellent customer service. The chef came to our table to chat and to ensure our meal was enjoyable. The steak was cooked perfectly, the baked beans were homemade with molasses and the sandwiches were mouth watering. A variety of burgers, sandwiches, main dishes- from rosemary pork chops to lasagna to breaded haddock was offered. I had the Ham and Havarti sandwich on sourdough bread and it was grilled till the cheese melted into the bread and the generous portion of ham was so tasty- suffice to say I didnโt leave a crumb! The fries are homemade and the cheesecake heavenly ๐"

"Beautiful views of the bay with harbor seals! Rooms were terrific with lots of space Kitchen was very handy-we baked cookies Beds are comfortable Staff were very friendly and helpful Highly recommend for couples and families as there is a small beach on property and the New River Beach nearby is excellent"
