We had a wonderful stay; this little gem is tucked away on a quiet hillside spot, with breathtaking views of the coast and on the doorstep of lovely walks, and just a few minutes walk to the towns of Lynton & Lynmouth. The room was comfortable, well furnished and equipped to a good standard. Breakfast cooked by Kevin was excellent with generous, well cooked portions. The property is well placed to explore Lynton and a car is essential.Lynmouth but the information provided by Expedia is incorrect when it states that it’s only a seven minute walk to Lynton‘s cliff railway. "The main thing to be said about our stay at the poltimore is that the staff really couldnt do enough for you. So attentive and lovely. The room was clean, spacious and had a stunning view of the countryside. The water sometimes ran brown, but this is probably the only negative comment to be said. Food has always been very nice here. We happily stay here again. "

"Traditional pub building in the middle of a village. The bar was full of local people having a good time but no noise made it through to the bedroom due to very thick walls. Nice room, clean, huge bed plenty of indirect lighting and enough power points. New en suite bathroom. Very friendly but unobtrusive staff. Excellent full English breakfast."

It wasn’t made up on arrival and when the staff did come to make it it was obviously broken as she couldn't get it to stay open. On closer inspection the frame was all bent and was very uncomfortable for my young daughter."

"We booked this last minute and, given the price, I wasn’t expecting much—but I was genuinely surprised at how great our stay turned out to be. The accommodation had everything we needed, and the very good WiFi included in the price was a big bonus. The onsite restaurant served delicious, reasonably priced food, which made our stay even more enjoyable. I also have to mention the staff, who were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout.
