Located in an industrial part of the city of Lubbock, the property seemed very safe, particularly given that there was no foot traffic nearby and nothing commercial within a mile. The rooms are spartan, but the bed was incredibly comfortable. This is a great cost-saving overnight stay motel.

The description and the room didn’t match. It was my fault for not doing the research on it like I normally do. It’s definitely a spot for a trucker to lay their head for a few and leave. Definitely not for women traveling alone or families. The furniture (chair next to bed) looked like it came from the dumpster. Linen is old and bathroom was subpar, but I used Lysol and wrapped myself in the blanket I bought from Walmart, took a three hour nap and left and hit the road. I won’t be back there.

As an older couple, we appreciated the quiet, safe feeling. It was very well lit at night. The room is simple but we found it comfortable and very clean. The shower has great pressure. No bugs at all of any kind was nice too.

It is a nice, no-frills place to stay. I was reffing a tournament and they didn't tell us it was a home football game and family day. This was a little further away than I wanted, but after staying there, it turned out it was in a good spot. Not a lot around that was walkable, but about a five minute drive to everywhere I needed to be. The room was clean, I was able to park right outside the door to unload and load my stuff easily, the place ended up being pretty full, but I never heard anyone else when I was in the room. The map shows it near an airport and railroad tracks, but I never heard a plane or train. Not really any extras, just basic bed and wifi and TV, but for a comfortable and quiet place to stay, it was perfect for me.

So, I was a bit hesitant about this place initially, but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff member who checked me in was nice and prompt. The room, even though it was designated for smokers, did not have a bad odor. The rest of the room was clean, the A/C worked well, the WiFi worked well, and the water was steady and consistently hot. I would book here again.

It was disappointing. I chose this hotel because it was supposed to be near the airport, but it was actually quite far, and there was nothing in the area. I had to use DoorDash for food and walk half a mile to reach a gas station. My car was in storage since I was leaving the country for six months. There was a soda vending machine that took my money without dispensing a drink. When I informed the staff, they said it wasn't their responsibility, as the machine belonged to someone else. I decided to settle for ice water, but found there was no ice machine. Eventually, the staff did give me some ice from their personal supply, which was appreciated—hence, two stars instead of one. However, I had to ask for it; it wasn't offered. Additionally, the mattress had a plastic cover under the sheet, which felt unsettling—like staying in a nursing home. Overall, I would not recommend this place, even for the price. The owners need to take at least some responsibility for the amenities. At a minimum, there should be working vending machines and an ICE machine.

We chose to stay at the Scottish Inn because I waited too long to book anywhere to stay for my daughter’s graduation. The reviews all said that it was clean so I took a chance. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was much closer to campus and my daughter’s house in Tech Terrace than I thought it would be. For the price, I thought it was a great value and I would not hesitate to stay there again. Thank you!
