Hotels in Lower State, Santa Barbara

"This is a very nice property. Room was spacious and updated. Right off the freeway. Slightly north of downtown SB but still easy to get back and forth. Breakfast was also wonderful. Would stay again if on a roadtrip. "

"We had only a one day trip planned and decided to try this location out. We got in late, but the young lady in the front was very nice and when I asked about popular places or things to do she gave amazing recommendations. The parking is tight spaced! We have a suburban so we had to drive very carefully because of how tight it was. This was our first visit to Santa Barbara with kids. We got in late but by first glance in the room it was neat, it would be a very tight space if you have 4 adult people. Other than everything seemed cleaned until I opened the fridge and saw there was someone’s leftover Porto’s and half bottle of wine! Then it made me second guess if they really even cleaned our room! Thankfully we were only there for that night so I didn’t want to go fuss about it. But definitely I will be checking the fridge next time. All in all, it was good for the price and time being. "

"Great location. Friendly staff. Very limited storage for clothing. Some of the facilities really need to be updated. Lots of Great Blue Herons in the palm trees. Really enjoyed watching them."

"Everyone was very kind and helpful. Loved that it was so close to town. The only downsize is that pulling into the property is a little inconspicuous. "

"Great location walkable to everything we wanted, wonderful 2nd floor covered patio area. I had a tough time getting someone there on the phone ahead of the trip, eventually called the reservation line in hopes they could help but they had to get someone at the hotel and connect me, and it’s been over a week since checkout and the $100 charge they put on my card has yet to be refunded despite being told two days ago it was… I’ve definitely never had to contact a hotel to resolve that before but also am not sure I’ve ever had a hotel actually charge me and not just authorize it, so something to keep an eye out for."
