"This is a vintage motel, no frills, just right for a Route 66 adventure. Generally clean and well maintained. Nice to have a fridge in the room; a microwave would have been a good addition. Note that the front desk staff was a little lax, leaving the desk to run errands and opening late in the morning. Otherwise, a good stay."

"This was highly rated and while it’s fine - it is more a lodge from the 80s or a nice motel kind of place. Beds were fine, not super comfy, rooms were small. Older carpet and carpeted baseboards harken to days of yore. We were also a bit flummoxed at the entry as we were getting in late and there was no obvious sign of entry. Also walkways to our side door were poorly lit. Manageable but dark. A small sink outside the bathroom had a loose faucet. Not bad for the price but not worthy of the 9.2 Wonderful rating on Expedia."
