We had booked a handicap-accessible room with two queen beds, but upon arrival, we were placed in a standard room that did not meet our reservation request. When we attempted to call the front desk to resolve the issue, we discovered the room phone was not working, forcing us to return to the lobby in person.
We were then reassigned to a room with a king bed and a pull-out couch, which was not ideal. Unfortunately, the pull-out couch had dirty bedding, and the mattress was badly stained. Once again, we had to return to the front desk to request a clean mattress cover and blanket. This was exasperating after a 14 hour day driving
To make matters worse, the following morning, the shower would not turn off and the water temperature could not be adjusted, adding further frustration to an already stressful experience—especially after the events of the previous night. We let the front desk know about the shower when we came down for breakfast and when we went back 30 minutes later to get or belongings it was still running I am very glad we did not decide to take a shower the night before!
Throughout all of this, no member of your staff offered any form of compensation, or acknowledgment of the numerous issues we encountered. We've had better experiences at more modest hotels and had expected a much higher standard from a Marriott property.
