"The Mermaid Inn is one of our favorite motels. The rooms are decorated with a Mermaid/nautical style with some retro appliances. Overall gives a very homey feeling. Rooms are very clean, staff is really friendly and helpful. Situated between a gas station/store and a Mexican restaurant you have access to fresh food and all the amenities you might have forgotten to pack. "Quiet hotel and great location to down town. Had a smaller continental breakfast. The parking spaces are very small. The room was clean but had a smell to it. Probably because of being close to the ocean. We had the window open our entire stay. Staff members were all very friendly. It was $400/night when we stayed because of Rod Run. I don’t think it’s worth it but understand everyone charges sooooo much more for that weekend."
