The elevator wasn’t working the door to my room had an issue so the had to keep going up and down the stairs trying different cards!

After reading the reviews i was expecting the worst. However was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean. The shower was great. Bed was clean and comfortable. Would have liked a room with a window as the room was quite hot. The lamps didn't have bulbs but there was plenty of light. The tv worked fine and the room had tea and coffee. Extra milk was given on request. Staff were very polite and helpful. We didn't eat or drink in the hotel, didn't even ask about food, so can't comment, just choose to go out. Didn't even see anyone drinking in the bar area. We ate in a lovely pizza shop just across the road. Felt comfortable in the area, although didn't go far, didn't need to. Did have a great sleep. We only stayed overnight to attend the tv studio in Shepherd's Bush and, it was perfect for this, but would have been happy to stay longer. Great value for money.

The room was filthy and there were signs that said no smoking yet the rooms smelled of smoke. The elevators didn’t work I had a lot of luggage and my room was on the second floor. There was a lady feeding what looked like a thousand birds in my window. Very bad experience. Don’t book because there are no refunds

Disappointing, parking not available
Disappointing, advertised customer parking available but this is not part of the booking. You have to park in a nearby Morrisons and we were lucky to have a spot available to us as they were very limited and cost an extra £12 for overnight. Lift was broken. Room was unclean, hairs on the bed and the toilet was still soiled from previous use. Kettle had stale water still inside it, there was masking tape left from where paint touch ups had been carried out. Damp on the ceiling in the corner and the mirror in the bathroom was loose against the wall and didn't stay up. Staff were polite enough but they weren't around when we got back to the room so we didn't feel any use in raising the concerns we had over cleanliness. We slept well despite the noise from outside and left fairly early in the morning. Potential for a lovely hotel but overall felt a little neglected.

The staff here are very easy going and pleasant and the hotel is clean and peaceful. I’ve stayed here before and it suits my needs very well - I’m not a tube user but here’s lots of buses and overground nearby and Westfield is 15 mins by bus so it all works

A really good hotel.
The hotel room was really good. Newly done to a high standard. Bathroom is small but very nice and modern - and very clean. Comfy bed with decent pillows. Good air con and adjustable lights. Friendly 24 hour reception. I highly recommend.

Unfortunately the room was not prepared on arrival the bed was slept in and the toilet was visually used with stains. Told reception and the receptionist tried her best to rectify. Emailed the management but zero response. Still staying at the hotel as booked for the week for my son and he had a strange man walk into the room to do a bed inventory check. This is not on as my son is working nights and we requested no one go in the room in the day. Following the mattress check the bed was left unmade and messy it’s just rude and so so unprofessional. My advice is it’s a nice looking hotel but clearly not run or managed very well.

Laundry bags in corridor. The ad said parking but no parking in the vicinity. The manager tried to pretend their was parking which is really strange. No trade in empty pub with no atmosphere I will never stay in Acton again . Run down area with lots of people. Frankly did not feel very safe

The lift was not working 'that day' but it appears it has never been working. We had to climb 6 sets of stairs to get to the 3rd floor. All 3 of us had 2 pieces of luggage. Staff at check in was messaging on her phone and didn't acknowledge us for a few moments. When checking out there was a floor in the attached bar. Sink, towel rack and misc broken in our room. Only staying for 2 night or would have left.

Despite staying here before and being pleasantly surprised, my second visit will be my last. Under my window was a congregation of homeless people who were noisy all night, to the point I am wiring this at 4.05 am ! I first complained at 11.30 then again at 3.30 but told there was no other rooms available … this does appear to be a recurring issues according to other reviews … I’m not sure how many rooms it impacts but it is really disruptive.

This is a comfortable 4 star small hotel ideal for a getaway overnight break. Check out is 11am. As I opened my door to leave the maid banged on the door asking me to vacate. This is very bad. Ok for a flop house or a 2 star but this is not the way you treat customers.

Excellent Hotel within Pub and nearby amenities!
Excellent room facilities, high end spec design and huge comfortable queen bed with extra pillows. Room was well lit but too many illuminated switches. Excellent mini fridge. The decor was modern and inviting. The space was limited though with very little wardrobe space too. The bathroom was compact and narrow but had bathtub and waterfall shower and handheld shower attachment. TV remote was not working properly. The room was clean and tidy throughout. Very impressed with this hotel above a pub, many are disappointing but not this one. The location was superb with a Morrisons next to it and well serviced by frequent buses which was very advantageous. Lots of cafes and shops nearby and area was safe.

My boyfriend and I stayed here before a flight into Heathrow and we were pleasantly surprised with the hotel - it's a little gem in Acton. Parking is good after 5:30/6pm. Check in was easy & the front desk staff were very friendly. The rooms were more high tech than we expected and we absolutely loved the stay. The fridge was a great little addition! The only downside was that our bed was two singles squished together, but otherwise, it was good enough for one night! Sheets and bedding were clean. Loved the warm underfloor heating in the bedroom and all the different light controls. Clean bathroom and hotels. 9/10. Thank you!

I just don't recognise the poor reviews - aside from a delay getting into the room, the hotel was very nice. Clean and quiet with a comfy bed and modern facilities. The room is off a very high standard and we had a good experience and I would stay again

Last minute stay was great
At the last minute needed to stay in the London area for one more night. Found this hotels.com and this pleasantly surprised. The service staff and hotel were all amazing. Could use a little work on keeping things clean. There was something spilled all over the lidt when we arrived and it didn't look like our floor had been vacuumed. Great bed, good selection on TV, and fun tub with TV in bath.

When we book this hotel with Expedia, the site said breakfast was available if we paid for it separately daily but when we got there in the evening and asked the receptionist about breakfast we was very disappointed when he said the kitchen had been closed for weeks so no breakfast or room service would be available. If we had known this before hand we never would have booked this hotel as i was with my family for 2 nights and hot meals was important for us. Also being a pub and hotel we expected it to be a fully stocked bar but it was far from it. My partner tried to order a vodka and coke at the bar but quickly refused it when guy behind the bar who was also the receptionist said they only had half a bottle of coke left which was flat.

A good secret
Friendly team with amazing, smart rooms. Modern in design and functionality. Yes, it is above a pub, but this is not your usual London pub hotel. I highly recommend this place.

This hotel worked fine for what we needed-just 1 night layover. The hotel itself is great. It’s been refreshed nicely and sits on top of a classic pub. The location is the issue. It’s right at a busy bus stop and the area isn’t great. But the staff was very nice and in another location this would be an excellent option.

Damp room and strong urine odour in mattress
Room And bathroom smelled strongly of damp and the dehumidifier was turned on only as we entered the room. Not impressed but needed to make a booking so accepted this. Got back to the room late at night and when we got into bed we noticed a strong urine smell. Sourced it to be the mattress so we packed and and went to the service desk. Clerk was unsympathetic and seemed like they were either sceptical or just didn’t understand what we were saying. We were particularly upset as the odour was so strong it had transferred onto one of our clothes. There is no way this could have gone unnoticed when cleaning or making the bed. It was too late to find another hotel so we requested another room but was told they were fully booked. We invited the person at the desk to inspect the bed to prove our point. They accepted that this was due to poor cleaning as the bed was still tucked in on one side and dry but with a very strong urine smell on one side. We were then put in a different room that apparently was booked but the tenant had not arrived. This room did not have a damp smell but the bathroom did smell like the toilets had backed up. We accepted this as we could keep the door shut and it appeared like we did not have any other option. Morning after we checked out we again received no apology even after I reminded them we had to switch rooms late the previous night due to poor room quality. Worst hotel we have ever spent the night at.
