We stayed here a few years ago and thought it would be nice to come back again. We shouldn’t have. The location is great and all the staff at reception were lovely. Our room was a massive let down. We’d paid for a deluxe room with a park view- there was nothing delux about it and the view of the park was obstructed by a concrete block outside. The carpet had brown marks all over it and one of the mugs with the kettle was dirty- not marks from tea, it was actually dirty- it had already been used and had dried tea or coffee inside it. Go to the bar downstairs for the entertainment and great staff and stay elsewhere

Very close to everything in London. Right next to Oxford street. As this is now a Hard Rock Hotel not much memorabilia on display. Room was very expensive, but restaurant very reasonable

Hotel was convenient to the Tube - Marble Arch station adjacent. Family room was spacious and came with refillable mini-bar, robes and slippers. Staff was pleasant although could not accommodate late check out. Restaurant on site was decent - basic fare burgers, salads, etc. Staff was very nice and attentive. Overall, would stay at the Hard Rock London again, although it appears that it has now become the Cumberland.

THIS HOTEL STAY IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!!! Extremely disappointing and overpriced. The tv did not work and had to make numerous calls to reception to have someone come to fix this. The bathroom wasnt clean with remnants still in toilet!!! Nothing in the minibar despite advertising complimentary minibar. And NO HOT WATER!!! Then despite two day stay our room did not get serviced at all. I have never given a bad review to a hotel - ever. But this was SO BAD I felt the need to provide other tourists contemplating staying at this hotel which is now The Cumberland hotel, fair warning.

The Cumberland was a excellent hotel. My only issue was the AC in my room. Even though it was on to the lowest temp, I had to open the window to cool the room off. Other then that I had a great stay.

This hotel is no longer the Hard Rock Hotel. It is the Cumberland with the Sound bar attached. Changed in May you need to update.

Save for a fire alarm at 2am, this was a pleasant stay. I’ve stayed in many London hotels over the years and this so one of the better ones. It is absolutely enormous and the rooms are good size. Location is excellent

Not what it says on the tin!
This trip was disappointing. Hotel.com are asking me to review Hard Rock Hotel London - this hotel no longer exists! I received no prior warning that our hotel had changed hands, rebranded and changed names. Quite simply a shambles. When we addressed this with reception, they were uninterested, stating I could cancel my booking if I liked! Had I have been in the position to cancel the booking I would have but given that it was a BST concert weekend, there was limited availability elsewhere at extortionate prices. The hotel itself was ok - customer service lacking - food quality low and cold. We were woken by house keeping at 0800 asking if we would like our room making up - what I wanted was a lazy morning! Would we stay again - probably not.

Hotel was good, thanks, apart from a nasty drains smell from the shower cubicle. Also, nobody told us to look out for the Cumberland rather than Hard Rock - so we walked round the block once before realising.

It’s s not a Hard Rock Cafe first of all. Second I paid 2,462 dollars for three nights stay and a flight and this hotel charged me $944.10 dollars more and haven’t refund me anything. Expedia has not done anything yet. They opened all my belongings at the room. Thanks god nothing was missing but surely they will looking for something. The rooms are extremely small and have very uncomfortable bathrooms.

Not the Hard Rock Hotel anymore!
Nice hotel, but it is NOT the Hard Rock Hotel anymore, we booked as the Hard Fock but it has changed its name 4 months ago we were told, and has no association with hard rock anymore. Dissapointed as that’s what we booked it as, and no communication to say otherwise!

Our purpose of staying at this hotel was because when we booked it was a Hard Rock Hotel. Well we didn’t know Hard Rock had removed their branding from this site until a week before we were to stay there. No communication whatsoever, we may have chosen to stay elsewhere if we had known.

The hotel is in a perfect area to get around with the Marble Arch station right below the hotel. Made getting through anywhere in central London a breeze. But I really wanted to review the staff.....Between any of the requests or issues (our fault) we had, the staff all the way around was amazing. Always smiling and making sure we were good. Unbelievable....I don't think there is another hotel I would look at when I come back to London.
