Pros: Great location. Staff were helpful. Cons: Hot water tap didn't work most of the time i was there. Shower holder didn't work. Bath tub was filthy. Walls were dirty.

The hotel is an old, renovated house. It is very clean, quiet and at a great location, but there is no elevator in the hotel, no breakfast and some of the installings (water tap and shower) were loose. Overall I liked it

We had a great stay here! Very cozy and clean rooms in a really safe and nice part of London. Aaron was awesome and the rest of the staff were all friendly and helpful - they even let us store our bags for a few days after we checked out so we could travel light on a quick round trip. Would definitely stay here again!

This is a charming small hotel in an historic building. The details are lovely, beds are comfortable, and staff is super helpful and friendly. I felt like a guest in someone's fabulous London townhouse. The hotel has easy access to bus and underground (half a block away) and is walkable to Kensington and Holland Park. I loved my stay here and hope to return.

This was such a cute hotel and in the best area. It’s one street over from a busy street with everything you need, but the street the hotel is on is so quiet and quintessential Notting Hill. It was perfect.

-No elevator or doorman so I had to lug my 50 lb luggage up 5 flights of stairs -my shower head did not stay up it actually fell on me a few seconds agteetryintk secure it so I had to take a bath but it get super dirty and the drain didn’t work so I really just had to sit in a puddle to clean myself -it was loud and squeaky in the walls -the room was nothing like the photo -only reason I would recommend is the cant beat location right in notting hill and walkable to the tube

Unfortunately we do not have a lift at the property and this is specified within our property details however a member of staff would usually be able to assist any guest with their luggage should they ask. Staff was exceptional: had great knowledge of how to navigate and things to do and were more than willing to engage in conversation to help. Will recommend this spot to anyone visiting London and doesn’t want to stay directly in Zone 1 with the tube station being a very short walk away.

I stayed at The Abbey for 4 nights. My room was on the bottom floor which worked out well. My first impression of the room was that it was tiny, hardly big enough for a queen bed, 2 small tables on each side and an antique occasional table which was barely large enough for the coffee/tea station. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. The room was very warm and I needed to keep the window open to let in some cooler air. The bathroom was quaint but definitely showed its age. The mirror above the vanity had obviously been removed at some point and never replaced. The shower was awkward and if you were not careful with shower curtain placement, the floor would end up as a swimming pool. The bathroom fan was extremely loud and irritating. The staff were super friendly and there was plenty of drinking water available in the reception area.

I was not told the door doesn’t lock automatically. In the two minutes it took me to go downstairs to collect my dinner delivery someone had gone in my room and stole my debit card. I know exactly where it was but I was made out to be crazy. The only thing they told me to do was tell my bank. Duh. But I reported it to the police as well.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review whilst you are still sat in the lobby of our hotel, whilst our team are in conversation with you investigate your complaint about loosing your card! You also just hung up on the our manager on duty who was also trying to assist you!You were given a key on check in and explained how to use it, there is no mechanism on our doors to lock them and this is very clear.We have checked the CCTV cameras, you left your room at 20.46 and returned at 20.48, in that time no one went up past your room. We have two long staying guests in the rooms besides yours, we can assure you that neither of these guests have any interest in entering your room. We feel you have misplaced this.

Notting Hill stay
Brilliant location, room was a brilliant size with large windows and high ceilings. Could do with a re decoration, and limited plugs one plug was loose on wall!! Curtains were hanging and needed securing to rail again. Apart from that would stay again as 5 minute walk to tube, shops and Portbello market within 5-10 min walk also. Westfield shopping centre was walked in 30 minutes which was great

Beautiful, quiet spot right in the centre of Notting Hill (a minute’s walk to Notting Hill Gate underground) - unfortunately our room wasn’t ready when we first arrived, so they immediately upgraded us to another room which made our stay that little bit extra special. Would definitely stay here again :)

The Abbey is a nice, little and quiet hotel in the Nothing Hill area. It is easily accessible by the public transport. There was always someone to help you. Checking in and out was very easy. The room was spacious, but a little old. It can use some upgrade (especially the bathroom). The rooms downstairs were a little to dark.

Really enjoyed staying at the abbey. We arrived earlier than expected and they were able to accommodate us an early check in. The girl in the front was extremely helpful and friendly. Could not have asked for a better stay in London.

We came for a night stay at the property and while the front desk was very friendly and helpful, the actual room was in poor condition. There were tiles missing on the walls, the tub was stained, the walls and furniture were all scuffed and worn out. Our room was also so hot, but there was no thermostat we could find, only a basic oscillating fan. It was NOT worth the $260 USD/night I paid for it.

Hotel in a nice area located closed to lots of restaurants and amenities. Only two inconvenience, room was on ground floor and a bit noisy in the morning and no switch lights in the room, only from lamps.

Hostel vibes and NOT like the pictures ⭐️
I booked based on the lovely pictures of the room online. Bright, inviting and cozy is what I was looking forward to but arrived to what couldn’t have been more opposite. The lobby is cute and the woman at the desk was very nice, yet there was no attention to detail or comfort. I lugged my bags up the stairs and into the lobby from the cab like I was checking into a hostel, which is ultimately more the vibe. No judgement on hostels, just wasn’t the expectation… When I received my key, I went to the room and was met by dirty office type, dark grey carpet, a window against a brick wall with zero light, old haphazard furniture randomly placed, a tub with filth rings and water stains around old spa jets. The empty wall had a literal 10 inch flat screen just sitting there smaller than an IPad! I was certain I was going to win $100,000 if I didn’t lose my sh$t. I reluctantly sat on the bed to search for a new hotel for two nights, there was no way I was staying there. First, I went to ask her if there was a room that looked more like the pictures online, trust me this one is not shown! She said they were booked and that I couldn’t have a refund even though my room was like a punishment for something I had done in a past life. I went back and found The Gore Hotel and left. I lost all my money and was there for 30 minutes, didn’t even use the filthy bathroom. The vibe is not thoughtful or put together, very random and not even trying. ⭐️

It Was in a neighborhood with historic homes and apartments. A small boutique hotel with great employees--very friendly and helpful. However, there was no breakfast and if you have trouble with stairs, Ask to get a room on the ground floor. There are also no grab bars in the bathroom, and since the shower is in the bathtub, seniors might have trouble getting in and out. We highly recommend a bathroom remodel for safety reasons. Otherwise, the rooms and the beds were comfortable and there are lots of restaurants within walking distance.
