this was a place I used to stay whenever I came to London; haven’t been back in over two years; wasn’t sure what to expect; Service is still excellent and the property still being maintained very well.

Nice apartment, uncomfortable sleep
Amazing location in a fancy part of London, surrounded by high end designer shops on Sloane St. The apartment was very large and spacious with your own kitchen, living space, bathroom, additional toilet room. The downside was an uncomfortable sleep due to the bed. After booking the room with a ‘large double bed’ I did not expect to be sleeping on two twin beds pushed together. This made for an very disturbed sleep as there were two single mattresses pushed together creating an unconventional divide through the middle of the bed. I woke up with neck and back pain.

Superb accommodation in Knightsbridge
Superb accommodation in Knightsbridge. Close to all amenities, restaurants, tube stations etc. Everything on hand. Accommodation was perfect in every way.

Perfectly adequate but overpriced for what you get
The Cheval was ok but, honestly, I thought a little overpriced for what you get. On one of the days, I put the sign out to get my room cleaned and it didn’t happen. That’s ok and all but when you’re paying over 300 pounds per night, that’s not cool. It would have been nice for them to give some sort of discount for that but the staff at the desk couldn’t. Afterwards, the manager offered to give me a discount on my next reservation but I’m not planning on staying there again.

Beware of the billing, they charge your card upfront for the whole stay, not a block, actually charge before they let you see the room. They also actually charge the deposit. On check out they don’t take any extras off your deposit, you pay again and they pay your deposit back sometime in the future. No welcome basket, housekeeping ignored do not disturb sign three days in a row. I patiently reminded them the DND is there for a reason but she continued. Would forget things such as leaving cleaning products behind or leaving the bathroom without t.paper. bathtub shower combo a death trip In the one bedroom apartments. Carpets shabby. Overall unimpressed but location excellent and linens top quality.

I have reviewed your comments with our Housekeeping Head regarding the issues that you have mentioned, this is certainly not the service standards we pride ourselves on. I have instructed our Head housekeeper to investigate and review training needs with the team member who serviced your apartment to ensure there are no future re-occurrences. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and please accept my sincere apologies for the shortfalls you have experienced whilst staying with us. Regarding the rental charges being charged upfront; this is clearly mentioned in the terms and conditions of the booking together with the cancellation policy. Please note that the deposit amount taken upon arrival is a pre-authorisation and not a sale. This deposit amount is automatically released by your bank or credit card institution (not by Cheval Residences), after a specific period depending on your bank’s regulations. Please note that we only take this deposit as a security measure, however our concierge team will generally take a sale amount according to any pending charges on the account at the time of departure. It is my hope that these events will not permanently mar your opinion of our Residences and that you will return to us again, when I am sure you will remember your stay for all the right reasons. Lovely well-appointed apartment
Comfortable apartment with lovely amenities. Having kitchen with small washer/drier was handy! Friendly helpful service, quiet location. Walking distance to high end shopping, tube/bus access and many restaurant choices. Enjoyed delicious Indian dinner next door at Kahani 2 nights.

Noisy but very neat and new.
A bit noisy in the apartment - street traffic in the mornings. There was was also construction going on in a few of the apartments in the building during the day. Workers would arrive early morning and make a lot of noise on the steps outside of the apartment. Perhaps rear facing apartments are quieter.

Unfortunately, as with most hotels in the heart of London, traffic noise is an issue and we are no exception. Nevertheless, the road outside is a very quiet back street which has a very small element of traffic. Please also accept my apologies for the disturbance you experienced from the construction workers. These works were being carried out in the next door restaurant. The restaurant management team were given strict working guidelines to eliminate any disruption to our guests and I have spoken to them once again to ensure that the noise levels are kept to a minimum. The restaurant will be opening in 3 weeks’ time and this therefore, should not be an issue moving forward after this time. Thank you once again, for bringing this issue to our attention. Dissappointed by lack of professionalism
Very disappointed that after I called them a week before and they promised to have my room ready for my early arrival, they did not honor that. I have been a regular for the las three years and my disappointment with their lack of professionalism is so big that I will not go back. While i was there I visited nearby hotels to evaluate or my next stay and there are great options at better prices.

Lovely apartment in great location
Apartment was lovely. Clean and homely, perfect for what we were looking for. Just wish we had booked an extra night or two! We were at an event in Hyde Park and this apartment was walking distance from there so was a great location for us. Food provided for breakfast was lovely too, although a small pot of strawberry jam for the croissants would have been perfect!

Home away from home in London
We stayed 6 nights at the end of a month long trip to the UK. This is a great base for seeing London. The area felt safe and had several good restaurant options as well as easy access to the subway. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and courteous. We would stay here again and recommend it to anyone wanting a home base in London.

Everything about Cheval Phoenix House is class, it was like a home away from home and by far the best place we stayed during a 5 week European holiday in five countries. Having facilities such as a kitchen, washing machine, coffee maker etc. made living so much easier. The location also made it possible to get to all the marvelous sites around London by tube and sightseeing bus. and for my wife who loves shopping this was also a big bonus. Would thoroughly recommend this apartment and look forward to staying there again when the time comes to return to London in a year or two.

Superb apartments in prime location
Excellent access via Sloane Square Tube station, these apartments are the perfect alternative to a hotel stay in London. They are nestled in a quiet area off Sloane Street yet right on the doorstep to London's fashion boutiques as to be accessible by foot. A 15 minute walk to Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Knightsbridge, it is the prime spot for shopping and sightseeing. Apartments themselves were superbly maintained with high-spec facilities with a fully-fledged kitchen complete with all amenities you would expect. Spacious rooms and clean surroundings make this a home from home. Perfect for families staying for extended periods and business trips for short stays, it is for everyone. Bathroom was immaculate and bedroom very spacious with very comfortable beds. Living area likewise. The convenience of having a fridge-freezer, dish-washer, washing machine, toaster etc. means you can utilise the room to its potential - cook your own food, buy fresh produce and keep it fresh, wash clothes so there is no need to travel heavy etc. Very quiet within the building too with no noise emanating from corridors or passageways. Concierge and reception staff are excellent who will cater to any need or requirement. Overall, an excellent, hassle-free stay.

Very comfortable and close to underground station
This is a very comfortable hotel. There is everything you need in the room. The kitchen is fully equiped. There is a dishwasher and washer/dryer. Soap powder is supplied. Beds are kings and comfortable, the showers were hot. There is a safe in the room but it is at floor level and hard to get too.

Stay at the Cheval Phoenix
Really enjoyed my stay at the Cheval Phoenix House in Sloane Square. Location was very posh and right off the main square with plenty of transportation options. The staff was very friendly and hospitable and super helpful with all of my needs. There were a few things not properly functioning in my room and the staff was helpful in getting them fixed right away. I'd highly recommend for a longer term stay in London.

I had stayed at other Cheval properties and this was quite a let down. There was no parking and the concierge did not have any recommendations regarding this.. The internet was down for a long time and and the only response from concierge was that it was down in all their properties, as though that would solve my problems. Again no help in what we could do. Business travelers depend on the internet so much that it was very disappointing. After we booked for a one bedroom apartment through Expedia, we got a e-mail from the General Manager of the Cheval Residences that we we were assigned a two bedroom apartment. We were excited and we invited some friends to hang our because we thought we had a roomy apartment. I even called them ahead and said that I wanted to extend my stay because I was given a good apartment. When we checked in, we were assigned a studio apartment (not the one bedroom apartment booked on Expedia, nor the 2 bedroom assigned by property management). Overall I was stuck in a small studio apartment with bad internet, lousy shower, and a kitchen door that kept shutting on our face. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

Perfect location and very nice appartment
Great location, large appartment and perfectly well equipped kitchen. It even has a washing machine for laundry. I absolutely recommend Cheval Phoenix for a short stay.
