At arrival, I was told I must check-in online, so had to find an email, reinput my details and spend 5 minutes fiddling with my phone as the 'service' staff sat idle looking vaguely embarrassed. 'It's just Policy' and "yes, it does annoy everyone" they acknowledged. Not a great start.
Then the system of a 5digit pin on tiny dark pin-pads throughout the hotel was the next point of irritation. On 3 occasions in my 2 trips into and out of the hotel I found other guests unable to see or work the pinpads.
The room was clean but pretty tired. The TV link was unplugged so that took some figuring out.
Then I went onto the Hotel WiFi, and immediately was subjected to a cyber attack. Seems that a malware tool is piggybacking the network. That's not cool. My firewall picked it up, but not all will as ours is enhanced.
So there you have it.
I've stayed in worse, but this one was supposedly a £300 a night place (discounted to £210, which now makes sense) and for that money you would expect much better.
