Hostel was in a nice area and really close to everything including Victoria Station. They are open for check-in 24hrs so that helps with weird arrival times. The staff were very friendly and helpful. You can leave your bag there all day after checking out for a small few. The bed was decently comfortable. The hostel itself wasn't in the best condition and just one bathroom for all the rooms on one floor. You MIGHT find an outlet by your bed, but I didn't have one. Struggled with my phone being dead and needing headphones to block out incredibly loud snoring. All in all not a bad place. I would stay there again if I needed to.

Value but very unclean
I need somewhere cheap to stay for an overnight trip in London for work. This place fit what I was looking for and was close to the office I was visiting. This may be one of dirtiest hostels I've ever been to. The bathroom was nasty, there was dust balls everywhere near the beds. My bed sheets has stains on them. The room was in the basement and it was very hot with little ventilation. You get what you pay for and I will be spend an extra fee pounds for a better place.

Let's start with the positives...lots of nice restaurants and groceries around...the Pimlico Tube stop just.2 miles away...economical breakfast available everyday....safe....quiet! Negatives....TINY showers and bathrooms.....lack of electrical plugins, especially in group kitchen/dining area. This hostel DID NOT offer shuttle from Heathrow, as is mentioned on their website. Positives outweigh the negatives....I would stay here again. Beds were comfortable, padlocked drawers under beds, the place was clean.

It’s very noisy at night on Saturday. I could hear music at 3am when my room mates came back and woke me up. Doors are heavy so some people felt the need to slam their room doors shut! The upper floor bathrooms could do with new shower heads. Like the one near room 220! Love the big fridges and staff are ok. Love the area with good eating options.

Value for money
It's good value for money, but the room I was in was weirdly designed or setup. In this hostel, you get allocated to a specific bed, so you can't really choose which bed you're in. Mine was right next to the sink. It doesn't help that the toilet doesn't have a sink in it either. This mean guests would have to leave the room to the toilet, then leave the toilet and come back to the room to wash their hands. It was quite distracting, I didn't have a good sleep, but the service was fine.

Positif : Proche de Victoria Station et de Buckingham Palace. Accessible facilement à pieds et en transport (bus et métro) Prix très attractifs. Accueil très chaleureux du personnel toujours disponible et souriant. Négatif : propreté. Couloirs et lieux communs sales et qui gardent une odeur de renfermé. Beaucoup d'équipements cassés (ex: cuvette des toilettes).

I stayed 2 nights. The hostel is very well located. 15 minutes from Buckingham Palace and Westminster city. Bus, underground 5 minutes walk away. The rooms are tidy, clean with a minimum. The breakfast is not included unlike what was mentioned on the website. The common amenities are dirty, bathrooms and especially toilets. I couldn't dare sitting on the toilet. For women, I wouldn't recommend it in case it is your sensitive period of the month. Cheap things don't come with quality. For the price, don't expect high quality..

Me hospedei pela segunda vez no Astor Victoria. Para mim a localizaçao é excelente. As instalações são boas (mas senti necessidade de manutenção). Os banheiros são pequenos e apertados (único ponto realmente negativo). Funcionários atenciosos, instações dos quartos boas (circulação, limpeza, etc.), e mesmo com as observações, voltaria a me hospedar no Astor Victoria.

Das einzig positive war die Lage. Das Hostel war gut angebunden (Tube und Busse direkt in der Nähe), viele Restaurants in der Nähe, nette Gegend (auch alleine als Frau fühlte man sich sicher), Victoria Station in 10 Minuten fußläufig erreichbar. Der Rest nicht gut: Heizung funktionierte nicht und es war sehr kalt, an der Wand direkt an meinem Bett war Schimmel, Toilette war in einem extra Mini Raum, Waschbecken war im Zimmer direkt gegenüber von den Betten (es gab nur kaltes Wasser und nicht mal Handseife) und die Dusche auch in einem mini Raum. Das heißt wenn man auf Toilette war musste man erst mal zwei Türen passieren, damit man sich im Zimmer, wo Leute schlafen, sich (nachts im Dunkeln) die Hände waschen kann mit dem kalten Wasser. Alles in allem war ich sehr enttäuscht.

Für mich war dies das erste und letzte Mal in dieser Unterkunft. Ich bin eher nicht der, der negative Rückmeldung gibt, geschweige Bewertung. Jedoch muss ich zu diesem Hostel (Herberge) sagen, dass die Hygiene eher sehr negativ war. Unsauberliche WC, Dusche, Hygiene allgemein im Haus. Zum anderen war es eher für mich schwierig zu verstehen, warum Frauen / Männer gemischt in einem Zimmer schlafen müssen (4-6Bett-Zimmer)... Es gibt junge Frauen die sich dies nicht gewohnt, geschweige "Intimsphäre" somit nicht gewährleistet ist, wenn man plötzlich 3 Frauen mit 3 Männer in einem Zimmer schlafen muss. Auch ist es für Männer eher unangenehm. Man hätte hierbei evtl. mehr auf die Geschlechter schauen können und die Zimmer so verteilen können. (Männerzimmer / Frauenzimmer) Es ist zwar sehr günstig und als "Notlösung" sicher ganz okey, jedoch finde ich, dass man hierbei mehr Hygiene, Sauberkeit achten könnte. Die Zimmer sind eher recht kalt, da es zwischen den Fenster reinzieht. Der Empfang resp. Mitarbeiter sind zwar alle recht freundlich und nett und hilfsbereit. Vielleicht war das Hostel im Jahr 2015 (als es ein Award) bekam in einem besseren Zustand als heute. Ich jedenfalls werde dies nicht mehr machen und auch, wenn es mehr Kostet in ein "Normales", "Hygienefreundlichere", "Saubere" Hotel Einchecken. (Tut mir leid)... (Dies haben auch drei Frauen zu mir gesagt die wegen dieser Situationen/Umgebung etc. auch gesagt... Sorry
