No upgrade, amenity or dining discount was offered. We were told there was ‘no room’ in the cocktail lounge at 9:30, after being directed to it. Turned away. We made a complaint and they offered to send a bottle of champagne to the room. They never did. I called to remind them an hour later. They apologized tor ‘the miscommunication’ and said they’d send it straight away. They did not. Message received.

Perfect location for a London visit. Everything is in walking distance. The rooms are looking a little old now and could do with a refresh. For example the books don't close now so literally office workers can look into the room from their desks. They used to work

Really lovely hotel, very conveniently located near Covent Garden and next to the Coliseum.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Room and bathroom was spacious, comfortable, well designed, clean.

St Martins Lane is elegant in all ways: the team, the rooms and the service. Also the location, despite being in such a busy part of London, is private and quiet which is lovely.

Best possible location for theater-goers. Excellent location all around. Staff very friendly and helpful. Didn’t care for the constant music, especially bec of the repetitive bass on all music that was played. Room was quite small, but adequate. Very modern decor. I would stay here again.

This is the second time we stayed with this property. The first time around the room was very spacious with 2 double beds, small sitting area, higher floors etc. This time the experience was very different. The room was small, dingy, right above an alleyway so was very noisy and the windows were against a brick wall and facing the windows of other building. So we had to keep the curtains closed all the time. Making the room very dark and claustrophobic. There was barely any room to keep our luggage. I m not even sure how they sell this room to a family of four. Lastly our flight reach London in the morning and we had requested an early check in while we booked the room and by a separate email. B ut the hotel staff neither replied to our request non accommodated our request. They made us wait after the check in time to provide us the keys. We will look for other options next time we are in London.

The hotel is perfectly located if you are planning to attend the theatre or visit museums, or simply take in London scenery. They're are many pubs and restaurants nearby, and the hotel's Blind Spot bar is not too be missed. Staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. My room was spotless and very spacious, a rare gem in London. I can't wait to return!

The location is very central to theater district but the best part is the staff. They went out of their way every step to make things easy for me. They seemed genuinely glad that I was staying there.

Overall:
- It was a decent stay but lacking in some areas.
- We stayed in 3 different room types throughout our stay: Studio, Deluxe & Standard
- Deluxe room was the best. Our review would have been better if we stayed Delxue throughout
The Good:
- Great location, near to many amenities & hot spots
- Generally friendly & helpful staff
- Rooms were clean
- Toilets were decently sized with a separate shower and WC
- Free laundry service for gym wear
The Bad:
- Inefficient layout in the Studio & Standard rooms with unnecessarily large walkways. The Deluxe room layout was the best (room space was the same as Studio minus the bathtub)
- Toilets had no doors
- No detachable shower faucet in the Studio room
- Taps were strangely placed in some rooms with very little space between the tap and the sink (can’t even fit toothbrush under the tap)
- Some telephone buttons couldn’t be pressed in one of our rooms (e.g. the buttons to call for Concierge or Housekeeping)
- Water temperature tended to fluctuate when bathing
- The electricity was down on one of the days & we had no internet and low water pressure. We also got stuck in the lift on the way down.

Excellent location for the theatre we went to, as well as plenty of nearby restaurants. An an easy walk from Waterloo. Room was lovely and the staff friendly and helpful. We failed the test trying to find the room when we checked in. The numbers are at floor level so you have to look down! Our only issue was that you couldn't fill the sink with water, but this is apparently a policy decision and common in the hotel industry😞

I loved the location as it was close to many theatres, to China Town and to the national and portrait museums.
Bed was very small, and hotel restaurant limited.
(The independent J. Sheeky restaurant nearby was excellent.)
