"My recent stay at Comfort Suites University Research Park in Charlotte was overall mediocre—neither terrible nor particularly impressive.
Upon arrival, the room initially seemed fine, but a few issues quickly stood out. The refrigerator had clearly not been cleaned out prior to my check-in, and there was leftover pizza inside that had a noticeable smell. That was definitely off-putting and made the room feel less well-maintained than expected.
Another disappointment was the pool, which is listed as one of the amenities. Unfortunately, it was out of order during my stay. I understand that maintenance issues can happen, but it would have been helpful to know in advance since that was something I was looking forward to using.
Additionally, the bathroom could have been cleaner. While it wasn’t unusable, it didn’t meet the standard I would expect for a comfortable hotel stay.
That said, the stay wasn’t all bad. The bed was comfortable, and the overall experience was okay. The staff didn’t cause any issues, and the hotel itself was relatively quiet.
In the end, it wasn’t a terrible stay, but it also wasn’t the best. With better attention to cleanliness and communication about amenities, it could be a much better experience."
