Once we got checked in, everything was excellent. Adequate space--a little tight around the bed, but a nice kitchenette and bathroom. Great area in old Lisbon with lots of restaurants with lots of outdoor seating close by. Our biggest issue was finding the place. It's actually studios in an apartment building with no sign outside. We tried calling several times, but no answer (found out later the phone # was wrong.) Found later in small print was a request to check in 24 hours before--we were coming off a cruise with limited internet. Never got an email asking for confirmation. Also lists an elevator; however it starts at 1st floor rather than ground floor which was a bit tricky for my husband who has mobility issues. Great place for people wanting to see the older part of the city, but can handle the stairs.

In a great location, just a few minutes walk to the metro station and easily walkable to shops and restaurants in the area. Our unit was clean and quiet, with airtight louvred windows that kept out the street noise. Comfortable bed, hot water and great water pressure in the shower. Small kitchenette, although we did not need to use it other than for the fridge. Easy check-in and friendly office staff. A great stay!!

I like that is a mini apartment unit with a kitchenette and even laundry, right in the center of town and is very accesible, close to public transportation, and is a walking distance to most tourist areas in downtown Lisbon.

The apartment was very clean and staff was friendly. The location was great. The layout was difficult, had to do a full flight of worn out, steep stairs to reach the elevator, not enough towels for three people.

I loved the location - we were able to walk to everything we needed and wanted to experience. The office staff was wonderfully helpful. It can get a bit noisy at night, but that's when I turned on the air conditioner for a sound barrier. Our room was perfect for two people, and the location is set between two cafes for easy access to coffee and daytime meal needs. I almost missed check-in due to plane and phone issues, but made it just in time.

Recommend this place for budget travelers! Easy access to lots of places; the place is quiet and has an elevator. The initial communication was tough because they didn’t communicate to the message function, but after I got their emails address through Expedia, everything was smooth sailing. The staff were super friendly too.

Location of this apartment was ideal for walking to many of the beautiful areas in Lisbon . Cafes , restaurants, shops - all walkable. 2 cafes right outside door of apartment. ( both of which I recommend for food choices. This apartment is also very close to transit ( trams , buses ) Apartment was small but well equipped ( small kitchen as well ) air conditioning unit quiet and climate control remote. Communication was excellent - no wait time for response. And during our 7 day stay, room cleaned and fresh towels 3 times ! The only negative, and keep in consideration if you are a light sleeper , although the windows were well insulated and we did not hear any street nose , there was LOT of noise from apartment above - floors are wood and we heard all their foot steps - woke us up a few times. But overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend- just bring ear plugs.

We enjoined the location of the property a lot. The property was located just a couple of blocks to a main metro station. That was really convenience. What we disliked the much was the condition of the apartment The blankets weren’t cleaned. We stayed for a week, and during this time the apartment was only cleaned twice. It would have be nice to have a clean bathroom at least every other day. Some details in the apartment need atención like a defective light in the main bedroom and the squeaking floor.

The location was superb - everything within walking distance. The metro station was about a 2 minute walk to the apartment and this was marvellous. Check in was easy and the staff were very nice and helpful. The apartment itself was very spacious, clean and felt modern. The bathroom was great, kitchen fantastic and the double bed was really comfortable. The view of the street from our balcony was a fabulous addition. We would not hesitate to return to this accommodation - 10 out of 10.

Even if our stay was a quick overnight layover we really enjoyed our studio at Páteo Saudade Lofts. The location is unbeatable and the apartments are very well amended with a full bathroom, kitchen, and terrace.

there's a lot of bang for your buck (or euro). An entire apartment (I thought the Expedia listing was exaggerated, but it was spot-on) in the middle of town, 100 m from the metro Baixa-Chiado - in terms of transport and connectedness you simply can't do much better. A few glitches: none of the Wlans listed reached my unit (I was in the topmost, right under the roof) and the one that did, dropped out every 10 seconds, but I used my phone as a hot spot and am pretty confident that was just a bug, not a feature. For a longer stay, I would have insisted, for two nights not worth the trouble. For a longer stay, a real desk would also be useful, but other than that, a very complete accomodation, central and excellent price. Highly recommended,

Great location. Central to all the places you care to visit. Lots of restaurants near by. Quiet street. A block from the metro station. The front desk is on the first floor. You have to carry your luggage from the ground floor to the first floor, then you can use the elevator. Rooms are large, recent remodeling. On two occasions, I had to step on a large roach ( body 5cm long) crossing the floor. Not surprised as there was tons of dust and debris under the sofa's and bed. The on-demand hot water system barely keeps up. Second person in the shower often had to hurry up. Otherwise was a good place to stay. Safe neighborhood but watch for pickpockets on the bus/metro/trolleys.

This is a nice, clean, renovated apartment with a great location. The staff is helpful and very responsive. My only issue was we had a baby carriage and there were two flights of steps into the building before the elevator.

Nice clean place in the old part of Lisbon. Very close to everything you need to have a great experience. A good size place with a kitchen and a step out balcony which we enjoyed. We were with our son so it would have been nice to have a door to the main bedroom to create so separation. That’s about the only suggestion I can make. Thanks

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this property. Given the area is busy the rooms were very quiet. It was comforting and useful having staff at the building that we could communicate with and assist us or give suggestions. In our room I suggest a few items be maintained including squeaky floor boards and a loosely mounted air conditioner. Also additional shelving in the bathroom would be useful to help with storing toiletries.

The worse part of this property is lack of staff support after hours . We accidentally pressed the passcode of the room keypad twice and since then we could not open the door no matter how many times we pressed the correct code number . Then I called the contact number but was all spoken in Portuguese but not English . I just could not understand what it said . There was no body replied me. Then I SMS to the contact number, again no reply. My husband and myself were extremely disappointed , angry , tired and frustrated as we were locked outside the room around 9:30 pm . It was only after 20 minutes then I got a call back from a man . My husband explained to him what had happened and he then reset the keypad number before we could finally open the door!!! This is the main difference between a hotel with 24 hours staff support and a 3 star service apartment with only a few hours staff support in the day time . Hope this apartment has more staff support and more English translation in the contact number.

They should have communicated the check in process (i.e. required a code in order to get in the building). The 'Front Office' is not a reception where you could just walk into from outside. It it just a small office accessible only after you get in the building (which you can't without the code that you never been informed). We were able to get in after someone get out from the property. When we got in, there was only a little toilet paper. So we end up buying toilet paper ourselves as the 'Front Desk' is only available 9am to 6pm. Also, there is no soap/shampoo/conditioner in the unit. Space is pretty large and location is excellent. Just 50 m from Baixa Chiado metro station

Location of the hotel was excellent. Very close to a lot of dining and shopping options and we felt very safe to walk even past midnight. The front desk staff were very helpful. Apartment was congested for a family of four and was a bit claustrophobic. The ceiling was not sound proof enough and every time someone even walked in the apartment above, it made a lot of noise.

We chose this property for its location. Which is pretty good. But that's where the positives end. We arrived early after disembarking from a cruise ship. There is absolutely no after-hours assistance. We had hoped to access our room a bit early as to not waste our day in Lisbon waiting with luggage and for the room. We were not able to access even the hotel before our check-in time. We were fortunate enough to get some help from another traveler to store our luggage in their room which was a little risky but worked out. The hotel is not marked and is very difficult to find. (We didn't have a single Uber driver or taxi able to find it either. - We had to go to another nearby hotel if we wanted to be picked up). While there is an elevator at the property, it only goes between the 2nd and 5th floors, there are very daunting steps as you enter. You will want to avoid this location if mobility is even the slightest issue for you. The hotel made an error setting up our room door code. We were locked out on the second day. If we were after hours, we would have been sleeping elsewhere that night. We were never offered clean towels or servicing of the room of any kind. We happened by a maid that didn't speak English who handed us bedding which we had to make up ourselves. We ran out of toilet paper on the second day and had to fend for ourselves on that topic. There is a dog there, which we never saw but certainly heard. Mould was observed in the bathroom.

Location was amazing. Walking distance to everything. As this was on the 6th floor, no one above so extremely quiet. Bed was very comfortable. Washing machine worked well. But don’t rent this if you want to do a lot of cooking. Minimal supplies in the kitchen. Also there is no couch in the living room. Only 2 single beds. It did not bother us as we spent most of our time outside. We would rent again.

Perfect Accommodation - Pateo Saudade Lofts!!!
Your hotel was perfect. We did not expect a lot....but was extremely satisfied with the accommodation that was provided. The room was so nice....it looks recently painted. It is so simple and nice. At first, the front door was a little hard to find. And there was really no visible reception office or front desk. But there was really no need for one. Absolutely not needed at all...once you have checked-in. The location of the lofts was perfect. It was not on the main street where tourists are noisy. It is on one of the secondary streets, just a few steps away....but still in the main tourist district of downtown Lisbon. You can easily go back and take a short nap mid-day. When we were doing our research, you can read a lot of frightening accounts of accommodations with no elevators, small staircases, no hot water, noisy rooms, etc. There was none of any of these at Pateo Saudade Lofts. After Lisbon...we proceeded to Barcelona and Madrid and stayed at 4-star hotels. The rooms at Pateo Saudade are just as nice at these hotels.....just without the front desk/reception. But as a tourist.....after you check-in, you do not need the front desk/reception. All you need is a nice clean room (and bathroom) to rest at the end of a long busy walking-around day. Pateo Saudade Lofts.....are perfect!!! Very much recommended to everyone.

The other reviews are correct the location is excellent and the staff nice and helpful. They arranged for a car service back to airport that was excellent. Things to note: elevator is located up a long flight of stairs from the entrance door which is not ideal if you have heavy luggage. The room is a bit tired and needs a refresh and our main room where a very small sofa and kitchenette are located is virtually unusable because of low ceilings and very narrow layout. The sofa cannot be used without hitting your head on the sloping roofline. We were in 602.

Overall stay was good, but there’s a hiccup with the key box when we arrive past 11pm(prev. notified). There was not key for us to get in the building. If it were for some nice guests arriving at that time we would’ve slept on the street because there’s no way to get to our loft. We were given a key next AM and Evelin apologized for the issue.
