We had a wonderful stay at the Lisbon Old Town Guest House. It's in a great location, but very quiet (soundproofing is excellent). Everything is very clean and comfortable. It was a perfect stay in Lisbon.
Beautiful space, very dark in the stairwell so a bit of a challenge figuring out the right door and getting the code put in, but once in everything was very clean, stylish, secure, and comfortable! Easy to walk to all sorts of restaurants and visit the rest of the city. Great location. Definitely recommend, and would stay here again!
The property was great! Clean, well-organized, and thought of things that any traveler would need. Good area. Close to the metro and the Timeout Market. Grocery store nearby as well.
Location was perfect for my arrival in Lisbon and walking all around for two days. Room was clean and I had no complaints of noise as prior guests had.
Our stay at this property was absolutely fantastic! The location was unbeatable—close to all the best attractions, restaurants, and shops while still offering a peaceful retreat. The cleanliness was top-notch; every corner was spotless, and it felt fresh and well-maintained. The attention to detail was evident, from the cozy furnishings to the well-equipped amenities. Checking in was seamless, and the host was incredibly responsive and accommodating. We truly felt at home and appreciated the care put into ensuring a comfortable stay. If you're looking for the perfect place to stay, this property is a gem. Highly recommended!
Great connections to bus, metro and many sightseeing attractions were within walking distance. The room was spotless and access codes were given by email the day before.
The only possible negatives were the 3rd floor location with no lift. This was fine for me with a backpack but large luggage wouldn't be easy. Also, the sound from other rooms did carry, such as shower and light switches. I thought my bathroom shower had suddenly turned on! It was next door.
The room was simple, yet modern and well decorated. The attention to detail, like antique tiles and access to a clean kitchenette was such a nice touch.
Entrance to the Guesthouse, to the room are all secured through a digital code. Makes it very easy to access and no hassle with keys. The Guesthouse is perfectly located near the river and close to the old town center, to a metro hub and lots of restaurants.
Great location. Easy check in with key codes provided for access to the building and my room. Shared kitchen with fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Rooms were spacious and cleaned daily.
Property was on 2nd floor, no lift. Door to building and property needed to be pushed or pulled tight with force sometimes to make sure it was secure and locked. Noise in the building was quite loud with building work going on in other properties and other guests coming in and out of their rooms

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Getting into the building was a horror show. Luckily, a couple who actually got the email with the two codes let us in. We ended up splurging on the hotel next door after we barely were able to use their lockers (key jammed) to store our luggage while waiting for check in. We were tired, and not hearing anything back from the hotel. We couldn't even make calls as travelers from out of the country.
The service was awful, especially considering how helpful the staff at the 5-star hotel next door were (this is before we booked a room). I swallowed the cost and we used it as a chance to live lavishly, despite not being 5 star travelers. I never did get a response back from Lisbon Old Town Guest House.
Ironically, we were having coffee outside the "nice" hotel next door waiting for our taxi on our way back home, and I see two travelers struggling with the Lisbon Old Town Guest House door. I waited 5 minutes because I'm socially awkward, but it was clear they weren't getting into the door.
I came up to them and said we had the same issue. I wrote down the codes given to me by the other travelers and felt a duty to pass it on. He showed me their email and it only gave them the door to get into the hotel on the second floor, and nothing for the main entrance (different codes).
They were very grateful, but this is clearly not just a one off issue. If you're landing here after any type of distance travel, be ready for a major headache.
