Hotel Villaggio Stromboli
10/10 Excellent
"We had an absolutely lovely room overlooking the sea and Strombolicchio, with a private outdoor deck under flowering vines. The amenities are a bit rustic but everything is clean, breakfast is tasty and staff are very welcoming. It was easy to book a shuttle from the port ferry, which turned out to be a golf cart like most vehicles on the island. There is a private beach with clean, safe swimming. The pool, we did not try because it costs extra and you have to wear a bathing cap. We deeply enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend."

La Sciara Resort Hotel

"Mon conjoint et moi avons séjourné à cet hôtel deux nuits. La chambre était très petite et très de base. Le lit un peu trop ferme à notre goût. L’hôtel est situé loin du port et faute de taxi disponible à notre arrivée, nous avons dû marcher une vingtaine de minutes avec nos valises au gros soleil pour nous y rendre. Pensez à demander à l’hôtel à l’avance qu’ils vous réservent un taxi pour votre arrivée. Malgré cela, nous avons bien apprécié le déjeuner inclus qui était très complet ainsi que la piscine et les petites plages à proximité. Le personnel était gentil et serviable."

"I cannot emphasize enough the absolute beauty of this property. The hotel is situated on a cliffside about a 15 minute walk from Marina Corta. The pool and rocky sea-access are breathtaking. If you snag a chair in the morning, which were sometimes hard to come by with people "reserving" chairs with towels, you can spend the day lounging and taking dips into the ocean. Incredible. Breakfast was included, though a little basic, but the views from the restaurant alone make up for it. The AC worked well in the rooms, which were a little basic, but we were not expecting perfection on an island. There is a small, reasonably well air conditioned gym in a room by the pool. The restaurant for dinner was fine, but I would recommend going into town to eat. The staff were friendly and helpful and the bartenders were great. I really cannot emphasize enough, however, how beautiful this place is. I had a great stay."

"Staff were amazing, A Air conditioning worked perfectly. Our Superior Sea View room had a great view. The pool was our favourite part, as the weather never dropped below 30 degrees, it was refreshing to have to say the least. Only a few minutes to walk into the town/main streets."

"The hotel is a bit remote. We contacted the hotel to arrange the shuttle while we were on the ferry, but were told we had to call, which we weren’t able to do at the time. This made the arrival a little inconvenient. The pool has a beautiful view, although there aren’t quite enough lounge chairs for all the guests. Overall, though, we had a nice stay. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean, and we enjoyed our time there."

"Séjour de quelques jours en famille (5) et nous avons tous été conquis par ce charmant hôtel. Tout le personnel de l’hôtel a été courtois. L’offre pour le petit déjeuner était variée et goûteuse. Le quartier est tranquille, l’accès à la mer direct et le coucher du soleil mémorable. Nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir!"

"J’ai adoré cet établissement ainsi que son emplacement. La vue sur Stromboli depuis ma chambre était tout simplement extraordinaire, et le petit-déjeuner était excellent. Mon seul bémol est qu’il aurait été apprécié d’être informé qu’après une certaine heure en soirée, l’entrée principale est verrouillée et qu’il faut accéder à l’hôtel par l’arrière. Nous sommes restés coincés devant l’hôtel pendant un bon moment avant de réussir, grâce à WhatsApp, à joindre quelqu’un qui nous a finalement expliqué la procédure."
