"Stayed here for one night and it was ok. Unfortunately I think I looked at the newest refurbished rooms pictures (but turns out that’s not what I booked!) when we arrived it was quite different to what we imagined. Staff were lovely offered for us to upgrade our room for the extra $$. We stayed in our original room in the end and it was fine. Good quiet location and big property."

"My family and I were never planning on coming to Invercargill. However an accident in Queenstown caused a family member to be hospitalized and transferred to this city for surgery. We booked the Distinction Invercargill to stay while they recovered post-operation, and the staff here went above and beyond to help us feel comfortable. The hotel staff were all extremely courteous and friendly and helped make this difficult time for our family a bit easier. We are very grateful to the excellent service from the Distinction’s incredible staff."

"An excellent place to stay. It had all the amenities one needed, clean, comfortable and top quality fittings and furnishings. Loved the upstairs bedroom and warmth of the place. Excellent cooking facilities. Warm welcome on arrival and then simply left alone but knew if i needed anything, I could simply ask. Walking distance to the supermarket which was great."

"My wife has difficulty waking up stairs and the receptionist happily offered a downstairs room. The room had a warm atmosphere and very relaxing. We stayed their two nights and the location was central to the sites we wanted to visit. Staff were friendly and accommodating."
