Lido Beach Resort

2/10 Terrible

"Payed a lot of money for a room that was on the first floor in the back of the old building looking at a parking lot. The room smelled moldy and musty. Things in the room felt damp. There were only two places to eat and nothing healthy to eat. The shower was made for wheelchair which is fine, but it didn’t drain and water went all over the floor."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Golden Host Resort with the Tiki Bar-themed decor inside and out. The rooms were clean, spacious and well insulated which is what I needed because im at light sleeper. The pool area was spacious and tropically themed and had relaxing vibes. I even fell asleep at the pool side which is really not like me. The staff were very helpful with everything i needed too.The location was conveniently located approx. Half way down Tamiami making it easy to head south to downtown Sarasota or north to Cortez Blvd to the Anna Marie island. I really cant say anything bad about it.Thank you Golden Host for great vacation!!!"

Tropical Breeze Resort

"Tropical Breeze Resort is a fantastic place to stay for a vacation, with the beach just around the corner. The property is well kept and very quiet and peaceful. The pool and hot tub were pleasant additions, and the woman at the front desk was very friendly. However, we did encounter a couple of issues during our stay. We ran out of towels on the first night, and no washcloths were provided. The beach towels in our room were quite sandy after just one day. When we called the front desk, they assured us we could get more towels and washcloths. We also requested espresso pods for the coffee maker in our apartment. Unfortunately, despite calling every day, the supplies we requested didn't arrive until the night before we left. As a result, we had to make do with used bath towels and sandy beach towels, and we ended up purchasing our own espresso. Both my husband and I volunteered to retrieve these items from their office, but we were told they are provided by an outside service. It might be a good idea for them to keep some supplies on the property for travelers in need. Overall, I will definitely stay again; I'll just bring my own towels from home!"

"This is a beautiful property. There were a few un expected things that happen. The beach chairs and umbella were not both included although I called in advance and was told they were. The guy said it had something to do do with our rate, which was through Expedia and shouldn't be reffered to like that. Then the drinks were very watery and my group only ordered the one. It had a lovely onsite restaurant but it took at least 30 minutes for our breakfast to arrive and there was only three tables who needed service. We had to ask about it. I understand these things can happen but it was not high season."
