A stone cottage/house situated in the center of the small village of Bainbridge. Millie the owner is full of personality, friendly and helpful. Easy to reach a place for dinner . Stunningly beautiful location.

The house looks quirky from the outside and is situated in a quiet hamlet. Millie was very helpful and friendly, and the room was tidy. The cat was a bonus for us! The bed was a bit small to share with my son so neither of us slept particularly well, but otherwise this was a lovely stay.

Yorkshire Dales Lovely Guesthouse
What a find this little place was. Set in a picturesque quiet village. Perfect base for exploring the Dales. Our host, Milie, gave lots of good advice on things to do and where to go. She was so helpful and the breakfasts Millie prepared was the best. Set me and my wife up for the day ahead. Our room was so comfortable and clean. Would highly recommend Hazels Roost.

Hazels Roost is an absolutely gorgeous place. We really enjoyed our stay. The customer service was excellent, the room was cleaning, the staff were friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend, and will be returning.

Top notch B&B 👌
Situated in the quite village of Bainbridge I found this littke gem of a B&B. On our arrival me & my son were greeted by the host, Millie. She was very knowledgeable about the area. Very approachable & nothing was too much trouble for her. We stayed in the twin room. Very comfortable beds & fantastic shower. Tea & coffee provided as was water. Breakfast was spot on. Which was needed for a days hiking. I woyld highly recommend a stay here. Quite and good for exploring Gods country. We will be visiring again in the near future. Thanks once afain Mille for a fabulous 2 night stay 😁👍

The host were friendly. Lovely cottage. Loved the deco, especially in the dining room. Due to Covid 19, we had our private breakfast slot. Breakfast was spot on! Millie even put on a candle on my boyfriend’s breakfast on his birthday:)

Hazel's Roost was lovely. Lots of interesting touches from the owners' "previous life" as cruise ship employees. It was right next to the main village common and an easy walk to the pub.

Great B&B. A fantastic breakfast and we even popped across the road to buy some of the sausages from the local butchers The walk to Semer Water started just round the corner and looped back to finish at the B&B. Rose & Crown also a great pup for a meal

Weekend break
Stayed here Thursday night to Sunday. First visit to the Yorkshire Dales. Even in the indifferent weather it was an enjoyable experience, although we would have walked more if my wife had not hurt her knee. However for a short stay we probably saw more by being able to drive around the area and at this time of year the roads were quiet. Had a great early evening meal at the King's Arms in Askrigg (Drover's in Dorrowby featured in BBC's All Creatures Great and Small) and on Saturday had one of the last available tables for two in the Rose & Crown Inn across the green from our lodgings. A smaller choice of menu here, but hearty enough for an evening meal. We really enjoyed the visit to the Wensleydale Creamery ("If the cheese hasn't got Yorkshire on the label, it's NOT Wensleydale cheese!!") even though the viewing gallery was closed for maintenance; we got in for a couple of pounds and still had a demonstration of cheese making - very amusing (I thought so anyway). The shop with all their cheeses on display (plus other local produce) was a treat for tasting and we came out with about £20 worth of various flavours. The church of St Margaret of Antioch in Hawes is worth a visit and has a few pews made by Robert Thompson of Kilburn (north Yorkshire) whose identifying feature is a carving of a mouse on almost all his work. NB: we found pubs in some smaller villages/hamlets who offer food don't open for evening meals until around 6pm.

Breakfast was a great experience with a big selection to choose from including a full cooked breakfast.Room was pleasant with a comfy bed and separate bathroom with shower. Host was very welcoming and helpful. Lovely location in a beautiful village. Next door to an excellent cafe. Good pubs/restaurants in the area.

Middle of the Dales
A good B&B in the heart of the dales. Owner knows the area well and can make some choises for you. Try a drive/walk along buttertubs and see some fantastic views.

Lovely stay in a beautiful Yorkshire village.
A small, cosy guest house in a beautiful Yorkshre village. Very welcoming atmosphere. Lots of character with some quirky touches. The room was quite small but provided everything you would need, and the newly installed en-suite shower room was lovely. Bed could have been a bit larger but comfortable and suitable for size of the room. First rate breakfast cooked to order at the time each room requested. Millie was an excellent host.

One of the best B&B I have stayed at
Its a great little B&B, very well organised with help from the lovely & knowledgable host! We had a double - spotlessy clean with comfy beds, just up the stairs. Tea/Coffee making facilities were very nice, also toiletries in the bathroom were very good quality. Bathroom was very modern (must have been redecorated a while ago), with big open’able window and plenty of fresh towels. Great breakfast made with fresh products, full english or scrambled eggs/omlette if you prefer, with a selection of cereals and fresh fruit always available. Nice quiet area. Great place for your weekend getaway, away from the crowds. Hawes is a nice little town nearby with plenty places to eat, we also went to Wensleydale Creamery there where you can buy local cheese, fantastic!

A delightful B&B situated in the beautiful Yorkshire dales. Full of character and charm, spotlessly clean, warm and extremely helpful hostess.
