"Even though they were renovating the hotel was super clean, smelled wonderful and still provided all of their amenities. The staff was very friendly and they took safety very seriously. Upon checking in the desk clerk didn’t announce my room number aloud: and they had a sign that all deliveries are to be left at the front with prevents strangers from having direct access to your room. "I lived in this town for 30 years and never noticed this place but it is clean and I will stay here again when passing through. Excellent value for this area too. Note that there is a railroad track in the rear of the property and it is right off US29/I85 so it is a little noisy. Plenty of dining nearby."

"For those that may not be comfortable staying in a well-known chain, I would say that this motel is leaps and bounds better than any chain motel I have stayed in (admittedly usually stay in a hotel, but this one was the only room available). This motel was one of the cleanest rooms I have stayed in with the most pleasant owner. I would 100% stay here again.
