Checked in on June 21st and checked out just a few hours later after discovering BEDBUGS in our room.
When I notified the staff, I was told there were no other rooms available! I had to find another hotel. They provided garbage bags for our belongings and contact information for the GM, who could only be reached on Monday since it was the weekend.
While the staff on duty were kind, the manager completely ignored repeated communication from both me and Expedia booking site. When someone finally responded, they claimed I never informed them I was checking out early—despite the fact that I reported bedbugs. Why would anyone stay after that?
Thankfully, when checking out I requested a checkout receipt, which showed same-day check-in and check-out! I provided photo evidence of the infestation. The refund was only approved after we escalated this issue and I provided receipts/pictures!
I understand that these things can happen when traveling, but the situation could’ve been handled far more professionally. I won’t book here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
