This hostel has a beautiful view and is right on the lake. But the WiFi situation is terrible! No WiFi in the rooms and poor signal in the common area. The property is also right next to the train tracks, and the train goes by often and way into the night. There’s also one restaurant close by that I could find, so very few places to eat/shop/etc. Overall, it’s a great spot if you want to sit on the lake and relax, unplugged. Not great if you are a remote worker that needs quality WiFi and restaurants to sit and work at.

Perfect setting!

A wonderful location on Lake Thun - and very convenient for the station. Simple rooms in a traditional chalet building - that had been the summer house of the founder of Ovaltine, and retained many of the original features. A quiet village setting from which to walk along clearly signed paths in all directions. Great breakfasts and evening meals. Would highly recommend a stay here!
