"Although clean, this was definitely more like a motel or hostel. No hairdryer, shower gel or shampoo provided.
Our North American electrical converter/adaptor wouldn’t fit into the European electrical plug outlets so we weren’t able to charge our phones, use our CPAP machine or our hairdryer.
Although the grounds were beautiful and well maintained, the hotel, which was once rural, is now in the middle of an extremely LOUD and NOISY high traffic area.
We walked 5 minutes to an outdoor pizza restaurant for dinner (the pizzas were delicious) but crossing the busy street to get there felt risky and we weren’t prepared to do it again in the morning to try to find somewhere for a coffee and pastry, although the hotel owner had told us the night before that there were a couple of cafes nearby.
Between the cost of the taxi from the airport to this hotel and the cost of the taxi from the hotel to the cruise port, even for one night it would have been better to pay $100-$200 more to stay in a more central location with better hotel amenities."
