Very nice place, room was fresh and well cleaned, friendly and professional personnel, excellent french food, reasonable price level. We had a very nice stay and can highly recommended Hôtel Le Résinier. Just half an hour from Bordeaux Airport.
I booked a suite and stayed for two nights which was a clear mistake. The setting of this hotel looks absolutely lovely and to be fair it is. The room we stayed in was far from lovely however. The toilet was horrible – stained for at least many months due to not being cleaned properly – they maybe need to invest in a different kind of toilet brush - I just cant understand on other reviews how this hasn’t been mentioned before as the hotel has so many great reviews.
The shower also needed a complete refurbishment - what was presumably a historic soap dish fitting was hanging off the wall and past fittings that had been removed had left holes in the wall that had not been filled or disguised and the shower floor was either dirty or chipped – I wasn’t going to find out which. I couldn’t even bring myself to complain as I find it quite insulting to think that this standard is something they could possibly offer to a guest and if I had complained I felt I could really lose it with them as, for the facilities to be so bad, they clearly wouldn’t ‘get it’ and no doubt the other rooms cleaning standards would have been the same.
The ‘suite’ that we had booked was a mishmash of rooms. The bedroom was small but fine and the aircon was good. The next room (the suite bit) was very small and dark with no window apart from a small window put into the top of the door with a sofabed facing a wall where you would ordinarily expect to sit and watch TV but no TV & not a nice place.
L'accueil était chaleureux à l'arrivée.
La chambre était confortable.
Le restaurant propose les plats de saison.
A deguster!
Hotel ++
Service et personnel ++
Restaurant ++

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Bof!

Disliked: Staff & service
The hotel, pool area & in particular the restaurant were very pretty. The service was poor though - in particular the owners/managers were incredibly unfriendly & actually made us feel uncomfortable. They didn’t seem happy to have a dog (small and quiet) there even though they said dogs were welcome. She was allowed in the restaurant for breakfast when they weren’t there on the first day but on the second morning my husband was turned away with her. The restaurant food was good but service was incredibly slow.
Location was good for attractions, although it is literally on the roadside in the middle of nowhere which seems a bit odd. If it wasn’t for the nice breakfast, dinners & the pool, I would have been incredibly disappointed.
