"Balcones del Caribe is a beautiful spot with an excellent location and easy access to the beach. The complex feels very safe, and the staff were always helpful when we needed general information. My only concerns were about the condition of the village: the back door didn’t have a proper lock, the bathroom door wasn’t closing well, and the safe box wasn’t working during our stay. Overall, it’s a lovely place with great potential—just needs a bit more attention to maintenance."

"We lucked out and received a bigger room than we had paid for. Well equipped apartment although the sofa's weren't very comfortable. Location is good ... across from the beach. The walk downtown takes about 20 minutes ... the road is narrow so you have to pay attention to the traffic as you walk. Pool was nice. Breakfasts were good. There is a ping pong table. Staff is friendly and helpful. Didn't use the spa. Nice big porch attached to the room but couldn't use it as much as we would have liked because of the mosquitos. Lots of friendly cats on the hotel grounds ... we adopted one for the week... a real sweet heart!"

"Everything about this stay was excellent, save one key thing: the beds and pillows were rather uncomfortable. Not something that could be addressed immediately by bothering the staff, but something we found ourselves lamenting throughout the days after sleeping on them. Literally everything else was a dream.
