"Big Paul’s is the place to be in El Nido - we didn’t know what to expect and opted for a private twin room with for £15 each Free rum and coke - for 3 hours Copious free shots - made by Paul himself Loads of other amazing backpackers from around the world Free breakfast and just everyone is so nice! 5 mins in a tricycle from El Nido town centre Bike rental yards away Can’t fault it one bit - we only wish we could have stayed longer (my liver probs couldn’t take it though)"

"Nice hotel. Great staff. Excellent pool and sun deck. Good restaurants in the hotel. Wall to Coron is 15 min. Or $50-$100 tricycle ride. Walk to El Nido town is about 30 min, or $100-$150 tricycle ride. Lots of stuff around the hotel too for food. "

"We loved our stay - great staff, attentive and the complimentary shuttle was a nice touch. The only thing they should work on is the massage service. The AC was blasting, when you are butt naked getting a massage you want the room to be a nice temperature. Other than that, a 10 out of 10. We loved the geckos and their sounds!"

"ROOM I had the Casita Deluxe (villa type accomodation). There are only two of these available. Both front the water and I would consider them the best option for the hotel. Coming in second best is the casita rooms, I think there is between 3-5 of these rooms available. Only one fronts onto the water, but the others are still lovely and you can see the water from the front balcony. Double gem is one of the best resorts along corongcorong. "This property suited our needs perfectly. It’s right on the water and right in the center of El Nido. It’s right next to restaurants, tour information, and a convenience store, plus an easy area to grab a trike. The only complaint I have is that the rooms are all adjoining so it was a bit loud if you have neighbors. We could hear the rooms next door TV all night. Otherwise it had exactly what we needed and the staff was SO nice and caring. "
