No hair dryer. I went and purchased one, but there was no electrical outlet in the bathroom other than one affixed to an old light which didn't have clearance for the GFI on the hairdryer. There was no other mirror in the room other than in the bathroom, so drying my hair was out of the question.

It was a clean room ,comfortable and the safe was very friendly. I definitely will be back. It would be nice if it was dog friendly. A lot of people travel with there fur babies.

Rare 1950's motel in great location
Old fashioned motel being lovingly renovated. Rooms a little shabby but clean. Currently having major issues with staffing but staff pleasant, friendly and helpful. Located ideally for facilities in Lancaster. Nice cocktail bar onsite

The receptionist tells us upon arrival that maybe the one who makes the breakfast will be there the next day. Well guess what? The door to the entrance was locked and there was no one there. No breakfast. The breakfast was included in the price and that's one of the reasons I booked. It's not worth $124. Also, I forgot my cell charger in the room and no one wrote to tell me that they found my charger in the room. So no more charger. Bad experience.

Hello, We are sorry, you did not have a good experience with us. Due to staffing issues, the lobby did not open until 11:00 am. If breakfast was important to you, the front desk could of made you a to go bag upon check in. For lost and found items. You need to call us at 603-788-4921

Lancaster Inn, New Hampshire
The motel dates from 1955. The new owners are making improvements and updates. The rooms have tiled floors instead of carpets. Makes the rooms look clean and new. The bed was comfortable. It was niice having a small table and 2 chairs. I loved the lobby, needs updating but hope they can keep the 50s vibe. The bar is small but friendly. Having a cigar room was a upscale touch. Since the motel is older, the electric outlets were scarce. There was a nice seating area in the front of the motel where people could gather and hang out. There is a Dunkin ,5 mile down the road one way and a restaurant about ,5 mile te other way.

They have no heat , it was 39 outside and about 50 inside the room. Bring your own blanket as they don’t give you more then a thin blanket.

The Absolute Horrible No Good Very Bad Horror Show
Property was supposed to be smoke free. Room REEKED so bad it was impossible to stay after a few minutes. Clerk offered no help, or alternative. Had to find another hotel. This room also had nothing but a bed and tv. Two small metal chairs and a waste basket. BEWARE!!

I am so sorry Denise you had a bad experience with us. Your husband did not give me an opportunity to do anything about your room. He gave the key back, he said he was not staying and then left. I absolutely would have changed your room.

Nice place to stay in NH
Love staying here when we're hiking in the Whites. Rooms have no carpet and new bedding which is amazing (especially in New Hampshire). Only flaw this time around was that our room smelled pretty badly of cigarette smoke. I believe it was due to the room on the side of ours (we saw the ashtray outside) but it definitely affected our stay quality quite a bit. Dove body washes and shampoo/conditioner were a great addition. Overall, still wonderful place for the price.

I loved the retro aspect and the history. I like to stay in places that have been around and have some history. The staff was awesome. Good luck with the remodeling and I will be back. It is good to see someone putting the effort into a place that was once great. Thank you.

Points positifs : Accueil simple et très chaleureux, très bon déjeuner avec beaucoup de choix, beau motel avec décor original, lits confortables, belle ville avec plusieurs services proches, possibilité de jouer dans le lobby, très grandes chambres Points négatifs : Peu insonorisé, accueil avec heures d'ouverture limité (nous n'avons pas pu voir quelqu'un pour obtenir d'autres serviettes, savons, etc.), le déjeuner est servis une fois donc si on y va plus tard, il ne reste plus beaucoup d'options, les chambres sont quand mêmes simples

I would not in good conscience recommend this establishment. It is sorely in need of renovation. The room we had stunk badly of cigarette smoke. In the past, years ago this was the smoking wing.... I had to purchase a powerfully scented room deodorizer, praying the odor didn't get into our clothes for a family wedding. We were not given another option to have a different room, even though we arrived right at 2:30 on Friday. The earliest we could check in. The woman, Jackie, at the front desk knew what the conditions of the room were.. I had spoken with the woman who was cleaning the rooms just as we were leaving. Not only does it advertise a non-existent pool, but we should have been informed that the community pool was available a few blocks away. This we learned when about to get in the car to return home on Sunday

I stayed at the Lancaster for a couple nights Aug 26-27. We had 7 people in our party. I loved that it was very close to Santa’s Village. The rooms were clean, the property was very nice except my grandkids were disappointed that there was no pool. It says there’s one on the website, I should of known better when I didn’t see any pictures of one. No biggie! All and all I recommend this place. And take a short walk down the street to the copper pig excellent food and service.

I liked the beds. I like the 50's retro vibe you're working on. I do think there needs to be some kind of towel hooks in or near the bathroom? Would also love the entire property to be smoke free. People were not smoking RIGHT in front of the window but you did have to close it when they were smoking near the room. Room did have a smoke smell on arrival but probably not from anyone smoking right IN the room. Maybe we missed it but having a recycle bin in the breakfast room would be helpful. SO MUCH plastic going in garbage. Sad face. I wish you all the best as you go further, the new mural is fantastic and you are clearly trying to pull together a great concept.

Hello Cynthia, Thank you for the kind words. We are not a smoke free property, but if anyone was smoking near your room, the front desk would have addressed that issue for you. The garbage company that we are under contract with sorts our trash for any recyclables. Thank you again for the kind words.

The lounge is amazing in every way. It’s what makes this motel worth staying at. Everything else is pretty average. While the rooms have nice new floors, the bathroom leaves much to be desired. The door wouldn’t close and the sink area wasn’t very clean. We would stay again.

Staffing impacted our stay. No breakfast available and the room wasnt ready by 3. Staff worked hard to get the room ready and front desk was helpful when there. Great location!!

very terrible stay the Hotel was smelling cigarette the loby close at 6pm its suppose to have a bar and it was close the roome was filthy the bathroom bath was horrible hair on the wall the mattress was so horrible and we can do nothing because nobody at the office !!! We had three rooms and the AC in two was not good at all. Very hot and hard to sleep. The building and HVAC need some upgrades . It was a very clean facility , great bar and good staff! You could walk to the restaurants and bakery in the AM - great location.
