Very nicely located in a tranquil corner near the famous Church and very photogenic Lake Tekapo. Within walking distance to the main strip and very close to the Tekapo Springs. The place itself was very comfortable with TV Wifi, full kitchen and laundry machine -- ideal for a family of four who want to spend a week by the lake. I hope to come again when the weather

We were very disappointed because when we arrived, the property told us they double booked the room. We were not able to stay at the cabin because the other party arrived first. The owner did pay for us to stay at a local motel, but obviously we would have preferred to stay at the cabin we had actually booked. This was a big let down!

Wonderful place to stay
Amazing small cottage. Very close to Lake Tekapo and the town. Near restaurants and supermarket. Management and staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.

Amazing place to stay, lovely grounds, owner very helpful and thoughtful. Felt like we were at home in our lovely little cottage. We stayed in the homeymoon suite and just loved it. Walk to shops and resteraunts is about 5 mins and the views are just incredible

The property manager was incredibly friendly and helpful, the cottage was very spacious, quiet and secluded while also being within walking distance of the Church of the Good Shepard. Nice views from the patio and a full kitchen for cooking meals. Really enjoyed our stay, thank you!

This was the most beautiful quaint little cottage. Waking up with your morning coffee to the most incredible view. It’s such a shame that the cottage didn’t have a real fire, rather than an air conditioner for heating - this would have been amazing.

This cottage was perfect. It had everything and more. I likened it to the typical kiwi batch. And people who arent staying here are missing out you can get a flash motel anywhere but the Kiwi Batch Experience is next level to us. Great service and beautiful surroundings Thank you

The lodge was in need of updating, the under counter fridge/freezer was defective the freezer door was off and unable to use this compartment. Plug sockets were allover the place with one half way along the single bed which was no good for my young child Very mismatched layout but was sufficient for a two night stay

Cute Cottage
Cute cottage within walking distance of Lake Tekapo and Church of the Good Shepherd. Living, dining and room with single bed were in close proximity to each other and heated up easily while it took some time for the room with double bed. Only drawback is the fridge/ freezer wasnt working that well and ended up thawing all our frozen/ chilled food. We might have been better off leaving them outdoors as everything was frosted over. Hahaha...

Checking in was easy. Unit is warm and cosy. Location is good, walking distance to the Church of Good Shepherd. We could see the milky way outside our unit without having to walk to the church.

This property is not as advertised. 3 bedroom cottage - the bedrooms are not all in the house. Beds in sheds outside, away from the main house. One toilet inside the house making for wet trips inside across a slippery deck in the rain overnight. Disturbing wiring and no smoke alarms in outside rooms. The house is run down and leaks (bathroom and kitchen) . Altogether a very disappointing situation.

The quaintest cottage in a beautiful little Autumn toned street. Easy walk to Church of Good Shepherd, lake foreshore and commercial area. In a town full of tourists, the cottage was a welcome haven. Small but cosy and with all necessities. Recommended.

Stayed 1 night at The Birch (offsite holiday home). Great spot for one night. House is in pretty good condition but probably due for a bit of a refresh soon. House has washing machine and a dryer is available a short walk away which was very handy. Could do with a few more cooking untensils such as a baking tray or too.

Overpriced but comfy enough for a one night stay.
Property/cottage is of modest quality and not in prime condition. Beds were comfortable and each bedroom had a space heater; one was broken but there was an extra to use. We only slept there and didn’t cook but appeared to have adequate cookware/service ware. The toilet wasn’t clean and some of the dishes were put away slightly dirty; it definitely didn’t feel spotless. We have stayed in over 20 properties across New Zealand and this was the worst value for the price vs quality of the lodging. We wouldn’t stay again. The check in staff was friendly over the phone.
