"Clean property, good location, very helpful staff.
However, the hotel feels like it is just a place to sleep as there are no lounge areas, garden areas, other facilities. The rooms are dated and really need an upgrade to compete with the other hotels in the area.
There is a nice restaurant / cafe based at the front of the hotel, but seems separately owned. The food is good and the staff helpful. You get 10% off food if you stay at the hotel which is a bonus."

"Lovely hotel in historic building. Aircon really good. We had a room with balcony facing lake- well worth it. Breakfast was great, lovely area out over lake to sun and swim. But the best thing was the staff. They were the perfect balance of friendly and helpful without being over effusive or fake. So many hotels in the area but we definitely picked the best one!"
