"Thymus Residence is just such a different place to stay with breakfast taken just next door to our accommodation in a former medieval church. So many interesting features in the immediate area. We chose a cava suite at Thymus for 3 nights. Simply had to have one of the former cave rooms if you’re going to Matera! Such a different experience to staying in a regular room. But while still visibly a cave architecturally, it had every convenience to a high standard. Absolutely amazing."

The hotel contacted us a couple days before our check in and once they learned about our change if plans, they helpfully pointed out to us that our bus station is actually quite a bit of distance from the hotel.
